Poker Flat Recordings welcomes back the ever-prolific Alex Niggemann for another speaker-troubling dispatch. This time out, the Aoen and Soulfooled boss drops a hea- vy–duty release that more than lives up to his usual high standards.

'Primary' is no less dramatic, but opts for a dubbier vibe as it builds and releases the ever-present tension. It’s hard, moody, elec- tronic funk for after-hours basements and warehouses.

We are proud to present you our 53th release. For this release we have Fabio Montana back on the label and the debut of Danito & Athina on Click Records. They are teaming up for this 'Alcantara' EP.

Fabio Vanore-Landsberg a.k.a. Fabio Montana started turning his passion into a career only a few years ago. In little to no time, the Italian-born DJ made a name for himself and quickly became one of the better-known event organizers in the state of
North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). It also didn’t take long for him to develop and fine-tune his skills as a talented producer. His most recent tracks, released on prestigious labels such as Incorrect Music, Love Matters and Indiana Tones, are a clear testament to the depth of his musical repertoire. With his productions featuring his close friend Teenage Mutants, he took the Beatport Charts by storm. Meanwhile, as a highly sought-after act, he often has the pleasure of performing alongside well-known DJs across Germany and all over the world. Currently, Fabio Montana is working on several new productions for various well established labels, including a number of compelling remixes. Proactive and industrious, the young artist still has a few aces up his sleeve that will continue to turn heads without a doubt. Following his remix of Incroyable’s debut release “DAZED”, it soon became clear that he would be part of the Incroyable Family. 

“Danito & Athina”- behind this name are the two amazing Cologne Artists who harmonies together privately just as musically.
“Danito” who has been producing for 20 Years in the Techno scene, performed in the 90's already on festivals like Loveparade, Nature One etc. People also know him from many of Releases by Labels like Cocoon, Moon Harbour, Suara, OFF.
“Athina”, his charismatic girlfriend has her roots in the Soul music. She evolved early her love for the deep spheres. Athina loves to implement her creativity in the music.

On remix duties we have some great artists onboard. 
Several Definitions just released his 'Lexar' EP on our label 1 week ago. 'Lexar' is currently climbing the Beatport chart. After receiving his debut EP for our label we where pretty sure to have him back on the label for a remix.
Stil Vor Talent's artist Dan caster is making his debut on our label. This man needs no introduction as he is making some great name through this German imprint.
Also debuting on our label through this EP is Marc Poppcke. Another German talent onboard with an outstanding remix on the 'Cubit' track.

Christian Prommer version of the Brecht/Prommer tune "Page Blanche"

In 2016, Johannes Brecht and Christian Prommer started a project together called Voix Grave, where they composed a classical piece of music together, and subsequently each made their own electronic music interpretation of it. The project got wide recognition, with Johannes Brechts version even keeping the #1 position of Beatports Deep House Charts for weeks. 

Now, in 2019, its time for the follow up. The title: Page Blanche. Progressive staccato dabs on the viola set a gloomy scenery, when a gentle bassoon starts to caress the composition with its warm tones. More dark strings enter and crescendo into almost a march, then dissolving into a quiet violin whisper, only to return to full staccato force, played sul ponticello.

Johannes Brechts interpretation is a driving melodic Techno sabre, cutting through dark and hazy club rooms. The rapid arpeggios seem like flickering lights within the majestic string arrangement.

Christian Prommers take on Page Blanche is a more dramatic one, with additional pronounced synthesizer steps, creating a melancholic aura around the arrangement

His ever-restless creativity and desire to build a platform for music that defines the deeper side of the electronic spectrum, led Alex to launch his very successful label, AEON in 2013 – an imprint which has gone on to play an integral part in building Alex’s impressive repertoire of releases to this point and beyond. His aim for the label is to build a representative artistic platform that mirrors the peak time DJ sets that he plays, referencing the spirit of classic, timeless house and techno and updating it for the future.
