There was this story i read
when i was a kid
about a man who woke up with his boots still on in his bed.
He could not remember what he did,

there was mud on his boots
as he opened the news
to find headlines about strange crimes in the night
this witness heard a shadow laugh and sprint
but now the cops got the mad man's boot prints

so..
believe me, it scares the devil out of me too
that my mind might not know things i do
but i hope you don't mind
if i need someone sometimes

heaven knows it's true we mortals
can make immortal mistakes in this life's got no guarantees
at least we have tonight
to be true to what mind's can't define
(that's the blinding white light)

for this, i might lose control more than once in awhile
and i go with a smile

It feels like channeling… sometimes when I sing it’s like different energies come through me. Maybe it’s me, but it sometimes feels really crazy.. like it genuinely comes from somewhere else..Some of this music sounds really different.  It’s all my songwriting and singing  —-some of what I’ve uploaded here comes from my solo prowhich — these are songs I’ve written, performed and produced on my own.. but also some stuff with bands I’ve been in, whom I credit and respect their collaboration. I hope you enjoy some of these songs, or connect with the music in some way. …oh yeah, I feel like SoundCloud is kind of a special place, which makes me feel like it’s ok to share hidden, unreleased or alternative tracks that I’ve never released officially on major commercial platforms… I guess that makes it a bit rough around the edges sometimes in terms of production.. but also more excitement in the unpredictability… dig it!
