Following an avid addiction to collecting records ~Acid Chess Club~ has evolved into a multi-faceted creative, DJ and musician who you may have seen humbly running the notorious Acid CHESS CLUB, or smashing some keys with their band San of the Rambutan, all while getting prepped to play at some of the best festivals from so-called Australia to abroad in Europe. Stages include Strawberry Fields, Colour open air, Closing set for NYE on the hill, Aggregat 004 (SE), Hear & There (LDN) whilst Radio includes HOR Berlin (GER), Refuge, Skylab ++

Melbourne-based DJ/Producer POOKS first started DJing after falling in love with Melbourne’s music scene 3 years ago while working in a busy nightclub. After being taken under the wing of some of Melbourne’s local talent he quickly began making dance-floors move to his beat. 

It wasn’t long before Pooks took up music production and fast forward to today, the 23 year-old creates upbeat house and dance music accompanied by driving vocals from some of Australia's best newcomers.

DISAPPEAR is Pooks’ debut single, Released on TINTED RECORDS, A collaboration with Brisbane based producer ODD MOB and Melbourne based singer/songwriter HAYLEY TRINCA. It’s a dark, stormy yet catchy and danceable track written from the perspective of a one sided heartbreak.

I make music with my guitar and a laptop. Smooth synths, coupled with indie guitar licks and airy vocals.
