Gelardi & Thomas N - Aquamento (Original Mix)

'Meteor 15 (Original Mix)'.  He draws from the experiences and moments 
resulting from the recent meteor streaking across the sky in his hometown 
and presents his emotions in expert progressive fashion!  The beautiful, 
spaced piano notes spread throughout set the melancholic, yet hopeful 
atmosphere in the wake of destruction and loss. The running 8th-note synth 
chord plucks provide the steady rhythm, accompanied by tight percussion, 
which keeps the listener in that moment where time feels that it has slowed 
to a stop, but everything else seems to speed by.

To complete the rest of this 4-track remix EP, progressive artists  ArcHouse,
Artem Dultsev, and Vasiliy Goodkov give their own interpretations to the 
'Meteor 15' EP [ND117].

ArcHouse transforms the melodic progression and switches it up into a new 
syncopated rhythm and adds some floating arpeggios over top, in a bittersweet
yet sublime track with moving breakdown to boot.

Artem's remix starts with shimmering arpeggios and upbeat percussive thrums 
right off the bat. Soon it drops into a subdued filtered sound; gradually 
opening up into a full-on harmonic breakdown and finished out with a 
resounding chorus.

Vasiliy provides the perfect contrast to the different influences to 
'Meteor 15' on this EP; he harnesses the moving power of Valer's composition 
and infuses the heat and intensity of the meteorite in his edged percussion 
patterns, bass stabs/lines, and drum fills to drive a dancefloor for almost 
6 minutes. His creative switching of the original progressions into a full 
fledged, suspense-building, and energetic track makes this one that begs to 
be played out to a packed room full of electronic music lovers.

the mind's yearning for motion and progress.

The next installment of Paradigm Shift is FINALLY here, and I hope it is worth the wait! For this episode, "Static Room", "Vesperine", and "Exit Me" were the inspirations behind the tunneling vibe as I decided to focus a bit more on some of the more hypnotic and darker tunes with heavy atmospheric influences that I've been enjoying lately, hoping to take the listener on a spiraling journey down the rabbit hole.&#13;

On the flipside, Alex Vidal brings a much smoother second hour with his guest mix, full of rich depth and beautiful melodies. I've only discovered his music about three months or so ago, but he's already swiftly climbed to the top of my favorites. I believe he has a perflect blend between progressive house and progressive trance music, making his tracks extremely refreshing and unique, so I am very happy to have him participate in the show.&#13;

They say that every stalker anthem story needs a good sequel, and when envisaging a second Scream album chapter, this thought lay at the forefront of Markus Schulz's mindset.

Acting as a followup to Ana Diaz's deeply resonated Nothing Without Me, the connection towards Lady V's angelic efforts on Erase You became paramount at an early stage; as multiple video recordings of Markus' gig performances spread throughout YouTube, in similar vein to its predecessor 18 months earlier.

Beautiful yet haunting, Lady V's performance shines throughout, with the key sentence of "I Can't Erase You" provoking multiple thoughts and emotions. The original quickly became a standout fan favorite amongst club attendees and Global DJ Broadcast listeners, and has remained one of the most requested tracks for both mediums all year long.

To compliment the original, Markus recruits several personal favorites, with each providing their unique interpretation on this anthem.

The personnel includes the new newest signings to Markus' Schulz Music Group booking empire - Slovakian Nifra, one of the shining lights for females in the DJ industry, stars with her famed swaggering bassline and booming melodic nature. The remix has already starred at Markus' Amnesia Ibiza residency. Also on board is talented Dallas upcomer Omair Mirza, who has captured the imagination of followers with his originals High Roller and Chain Reaction. His remix provides the typical cocktail of genres fused as his own.

And last but not least, Markus' good friends Wellenrausch are on hand to deliver two special remixes. The much admired duo, consisting of Torsten Fassbender and Markus Geisberger, has won the hearts of many thanks to their Dark Matter remix series, and their take on Erase You is in similar vein. However, they also go one step further with an even deeper effort; the Foxhole Version will be an unearthed gem.

Erase You is proof that a sequel can match the expectation and amour of an original story. Markus and Lady V's collaboration will forever be associated with one of trance's finest moments in 2014.
