Having already released the bombastic ‘Freaking’ on Street Tracks back in 2020, melodic house & techno producer Roobinz returns to the label with the ‘Take Control’ single.

Having already smashed the streaming figures with his last single for Solardo’s Sola label (‘Can’t Get Enough’ has to date racked up over 4.5 million streams), Roobinz has also popped up on labels such as Toolroom, Distortion and LW Recordings and with his dancefloor friendly tracks.

Deploying an infectious vocal over a chunky and driving production, Roobinz plugs into a funky rhythm on ‘Take Control’, propelled by a badass bassline and evolving melodies for a pure club banger!

Newcomers Dosia & Fake Lab make a splash with their Street Tracks debut ‘Wrong Game’. Bursting at the seams with attitude, a racy synth riff entices from the get-go, soon accompanied by an unrelenting drum groove seasoned and served to perfection.

Having separately released music for labels such as Mallam, Ambi Records, Minimalism Records and Framed Music, the two producers make for a sterling partnership on Waze’s Street Tracks imprint.

Serge Santiago provided the first release on Jack Said What a year ago, the Italo-tinged ‘Ear Racer’ followed by euphoric summery house cut ‘You Got Me’ and ‘Rave Dance’ featuring Jack Said What label founder Irvine Welsh, and then the ’11:11’ album — his first ever solo album, released on November 11th 2022. And you can’t keep the golden boy down. He’s already onto his next body of work, and the first teaser is now dropping. His brand new ‘Love Is A Feeling’ lays a feelgood sample on top of Gerd Janson/Running Back bassline keys and skippy beats, leading to a dynamic house track that DJs will rush to add to their collections for this latest Summer Of Love.
This is the sixth single release by Serge Santiago on the new and burgeoning Brighton-based electronic music label Jack Said What, founded by long-term producer Steve Mac, music journalist Carl Loben and the Trainspotting author Irvine himself.
Serge Santiago as a solo artist continues to attract deserved hype. Previously he was one half of some of the most successful DJ duos in dance music including Radio Slave, Waze & Odyssey and Retro/Grade, releasing on leading dance labels including: Sony, Ministry of Sound, Southern Fried, Madtech, Tsuba, Dirt Crew, Edible, Relief and Nothing Else Matters. Having played around the world at trailblazing clubs including Fabric, Space, The End, Elrow and Panorama Bar, he is now also revelling in his own residency at Brighton’s newly relaunched Stompa Phunk nights.

The Arrival

This track was created by blending warm progressive house grooves with evolving melodic layers. I started with a simple emotional chord progression, then built the groove using deep percussions and subtle synth textures. The idea was to create a slow-burn, uplifting journey that keeps building energy without losing the warmth and emotion at its core.
