The debut album „Silicate Squeak“ by @lukasoppenheimer as Windowseeker, releasing December 3rd via Infinite Drift, propagates through imagined realms of silicate.

Hardly anything found in nature is as ordered as crystal lattices that inform the special qualities these substances have. Their periodic structure lends itself to a sense of stability and harmony, whereas matter such as water, finds itself in complete chaos, noise or randomness.
Ignoring any boundaries between order in physical matter and order in sound and combining this intuition with generative musical processes, „Silicate Squeak“ walks the line between headphone and club music.

Embracing Midgar's story-tale approach, 'Da Nao Tian Gong' (also known as 'Havoc in Heaven') stands as Polygonia's latest four-track EP. Lindsey Wang draws direct influence from a beloved childhood cartoon, itself inspired by the ancient Chinese legend 'Journey to the West' and the iconic character Sun Wukong. In a retro-modern twist, the tracks vividly depict Sun Wukong's essence: 'Jindou Yun' embodies the swiftness of his cloud, 'Shen Wai Shenfa' invokes his magical hair with tribal rhythms, 'Ruyi Jingu Bang' mirrors his legendary staff's power, and 'Disha Shu' portrays his 72 Transformations through vibrant harmonics.

The song came from a single night in the studio when one of the members stayed after everyone else left.
She muted the monitors, turned off the lights, and recorded straight into the mic with nothing but a loop pedal and the sound of her breath.
The first line she wrote was:
“I don’t recognize who’s staring back.”
That became the anchor.
“Through the Looking Glass” isn’t about wonder or fantasy, it’s about confrontation. It’s what happens when you stop running and finally face the version of yourself that survived everything, even when maybe they shouldn’t have.

The title’s a nod to the book, but the tone flips it: instead of crossing into another world, the mirror becomes a trap, a portal that doesn’t lead out, only deeper in.

The production keeps that feeling: reversed guitar chords, whispers buried in reverb, a heartbeat kick that never resolves.
It’s beautiful, but cold, like a confession delivered from inside the reflection.
When she finished it, Alice said quietly,

“Everyone thinks the mirror shows truth. They forget it’s still backwards.”
