Composer Vince Gover received his first public premiere in 2011 by the Saxony-Anhalt Brass Quintet from Halberstadt, Germany, on the Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. Later that year, he was named 2011-2012 William H. Lively Student Composer in Residence with the Irving Symphony in Irving, Texas. 
Now, a finalist in the 2015 ASCAP Foundation Morton Gould Young Composer Awards, he’s completing his Masters in Music Composition at Southern Methodist University. He has studied with such award-winning composers as Rob Paterson, David Ludwig, Xi Wang, Paul Rudy, and Robert J. Frank, and he continually has works performed throughout the US, including Kansas City, Dallas, Philadelphia, and Baltimore.
