In an effort to return the electronic music industry to the album format Descension Recordings is launching their first release with exactly this intention.

donnerstag creates a unique sonic experience inspired by John Milton’s literary masterpiece from 1667 "Paradise Lost". 

The first words of Paradise Lost state that the poem's main theme will be "Man's first Disobedience." Milton narrates the story of Adam and Eve's disobedience, explains how and why it happens, and places the story within the larger context of Satan's rebellion and Jesus' resurrection.

donnerstag's Paradise Lost is a fully equipped 6 track album with a proper intro and outro. 
The 4 main tracks take every listener on a profound melodic adventure within the epic story of Satan's exit from Heaven and the fall of man in the Garden of Eden.

Neapoli-born, Milan-based duo Moonwalk follows up to their 2022-issued 'Dune' EP for Stil vor Talent with their latest two-tracker, 'Eternal', due for release on 29th September. A supra-dynamic foray into their multi-faceted headspace, this new studio effort sees the Italian pair join forces with Alessio Cristiano and EarthLife on two cuts clearly designed with the club in mind. Exponents of a sound both brazenly vanguard whilst paying due tribute to the classic Italo scene through hair-raising buildups and heavy-duty programming, Dario and Mauro have us traversing a wide-ranging palette of sensations, merging "introspection, melancholy and euphoria" as they like to recall. And to say the least, 'Eternal' fits that definition to a tee with its implacable momentum, dead set to take dance floors and ravers by storm.

Made in collaboration with Alessio Cristiano, who created that head-turning melody around which the track revolves, 'Eternal' is pukka Moonwalk material by the book. Spinning at fast pace, its tsunami of ecstatic synths rolls and loops in and out of focus as Dario and Mauro raise the pressure to exhilarating effect. A tunnel-like ride covered with crisp keyboard extravaganza a la Moroder, laced with steroid-fuelled drums and kicks pounding their way across Moonwalk's cosmic sound design with unrelenting horsepower. Teaming up with EarthLife on 'Zoe', Dario and Mauro do not alter their course an iota, rather much ushering us headlong into a boiling keg of electro-pop pyrotechnics. Highly volatile but just as catchy when it comes to that fluttering melody (try and get it off your head), the track proves a reliable ally to the DJ in search of a potent weapon for in-limbo moments, packing the right amount of melancholia-infused dreaminess and that all-terrain punch that'll wreak massive ruckus in its wake.

Michael Mayer, aka Mr. Lava Lava asked a bunch of his absolute favourite artists to have a go at some of the tracks from his recent album 'The Floor Is Lava'. Longtime collaborator DAVE DK is a masterful producer and remixer that appears regularly on Pampa and Kompakt. His take on 'The Solution' feels like a road trip to paradise and back. Montreal's PRIORI is one of the hottest names in showbiz right now. His ability to bridge genres and create pristine sound designs is fully on display in his remix for 'The Solution'. His relationship with music goes a long way back. In fact, he actually got his start at a very young age. His parents had a phenomenal record collection, with some truly classic gems to spin. Needless to say, Alex got spoiled when it comes to amazing music, and he learn to recognised quality sounds very early on, due to being exposed to such a diverse array of fantastic influences! 

By the time he had turned 18, Alex moved from becoming a keen music fan, to actually take performing more seriously. He started out at local events in his hometown in Sicily, Italy, and as they say, the rest is history! Willing and motivated to take his career to the next level, Alex left the sunny Sicilian shores for the bursting lights of London, where he went on to pursue his dream of working as a full-time DJ. His first set on an international scale actually happened at the famed Mass Club (Brixton), well-known for the highly energetic raves hosted there. Since then, Alex went on to share the decks with well-known acts. 

His sets are particularly dynamic and engaging, offering a personal and witty perspective on club music, without compromising on the entertainment side. In other words, this set-lists have a lot of depth and richness, but they are also immediate, fun and appealing from the get go. While living in London, Alex became well connected within the local music scene, so much so that he organised many of his own independent events. He  was consistently running weekly DJ sets in underground warehouses in East London. 

It was through this event management experience that he discovered his talent for the other side of the music industry. Alex has been performing as a DJ for over 15 years now. During this time, he has perfected his act, creating immersive and hypnotising sets in front of sold-out-crowds. 

On top of this, Alex is a well-known producer. In his music, he seamlessly blurs the lines between techno and deep, and many other influences. While Alex’s music remain appealing and extremely direct, there is also lot of depth to the music and concept, making for a great balance between appeal and sophistication... Who said catchy music can’t be smart? 

Alex creates stunning productions, which are inspired, direct and exciting, with a very dynamic feel and a stunning tone that sounds very charismatic and loaded with personality. In addition to that, the sound of his work has a smooth, balanced tone, appealing to listeners from all walks of life! Now Alex he is on a mission to release a slew of remixes and EPs from established names in the industry.

‘Bedouin Ride’ is one of the standout tracks from DJ T.’s ‘Trans Orient Express’ album and it now gets a standalone release along with a selection of fresh new remixes from Musumeci, Theus Mago and Balam. ‘Bedouin Ride’ directly references that in its title, but also musically, with desert-blues guitars riding over the drums to bring a deeply thoughtful and emotional vibe. First to remix is Musumeci, a project by Mauro Di Martino, a Sicilian DJ and producer since the late 80s with releases on Innervisions and Connaisseur Recordings. His version is a tantalising remake with suspensory synths, sci-fi effects and a warm bassline to carry you deep into the night.
