An ambient-electro vinyl mix, made in 2013, using exclusively records from Elektrolux and Mikrolux record labels.
This mix is a tribute to late nineties / early 2000s 'Space Night' on the German satellite TV channel 'BR', which used to broadcast through the night showing satellite space images of the Earth and beyond, accompanied by smooth ambient electro music.

Hailing from the impressive Rings of Neptune stable of artists, Parisian artist Maxime dB is amassing plaudits at a remarkable rate. A regular at the finest beat emporiums around Europe and is a favoured spinner by the likes of Nostromo, Hoppetosse, Wildt, Café Barge, and the list is only growing bigger by the weekend. Not afraid to go against the grain Maxime’s addition to the RON Interstellar Travel Guide – Volume II took things in a more downtempo direction with his ‘1 Night in Paris’ jam.

With his sound laying somewhere between the 80’s and 90’s heyday of electronic and of course more contemporary influences, Maxime goes off the beaten track in search of tracks to populate his DJ sets. In a sea of serious AF house and techno Maxime’s sets cuts through all that to offer an altogether different musical journey. Not to say his music is not legit as he is what one might call a DJ’s DJ where two unexpectedly cohesive tracks make for perfect bedfellows. Dial this up to eleven and prepare to be taken on a journey with plenty of twists and turns.

Moroccan based / Paris based artist Bassam has been a major part of the French underground for quite a while now. Either as part of the genre blurring Distrikt Paris team or as a solo artist in his own right Bassam is one of these names that is always pushing forward in different musical directions. The co-founder of Distrikt Paris will shortly be celebrating the 7th birthday shortly and he will be turning out alongside his ANTAM Records partner Antoine Sy. 

Before that however, Bassam is turning out for our InSession podcast series in solo mode. Whether Bassam is programming a weekend long event, an EP or a DJ set there is always this X factor to everything he does. It may be the funk fuelled basslines, unique mix segues or bleep filled productions this mix will have all of these elements and a whole lot more.
