I come from a background of watching 90s manga, Listening to Jungle mixes on tapes, Going to raves and having a BLAST. 

I go through stages , sometimes I like to listen to Synthwave, synthpop or Neurofunk or funk. I have a varied taste in music genres and it goes way more than what I've listed.

Hi, I’m Mars Shanley. I’m an Irish composer, producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, and I make music that blends piano, ambient textures, voice, field recordings, and sound in ways that are deeply human and alive. I write both by ear and by instinct ,there are symphonies I hear in dreams that I translate to the piano, textures, and sonic spaces. I also produce and engineer my own work, constantly exploring and learning, experimenting with frequency. 
I’ve been classically trained at the Royal College of Music in Ireland, and I’m a qualified sound engineer , so while my process is intuitive and exploratory, it’s also built on a foundation of discipline and professional skill. My work has been released with AD21’s Woman Muse Series, Digitality Records, and soon Blue Spiral Records, and has been featured on RTE national radio and TV, across international community radio, in festivals, stage productions, and wellness spaces around the world.
I carve with the vibrations of plant-based and cymatic frequencies, drawing on ancestral herbal knowledge, Celtic energy, and the pulse of the natural and quantum worlds. Every composition is a space for reflection, presence, and a story, and the silence in between.
Music has always been the thread that pulls my world together, and now it’s my turn to share it with the world , grounded in craft, imagination, and the lived experiences that shape every note.
