Mondo Music I

Mai Mai Mai is a solo project by Toni C., member Hiroshima Rocks Around and Trouble vs. Glue. He also runs the NO=FI Recordings and co-runs the Dal Verme Club in Rome. 
Mai Mai Mai is the materialization of a travel in time and space, a mix of drone and ambient, steamy and phat techno beats, field recordings and soundscapes on the border between East and West. 

After the debut Theta LP (Boring Machines, 2013), Delta is his second release and second part of his journey across the Mediterranean Sea, through hidden memories, old unconscious and sounds of past experiences, put together and mixed today using tapes, synths and sequencers. We land on a stormy night and the tale of this new adventure begins. Sounds here got more confident and mature, like a personal soundtrack of an inner sailing to Elsewhere.
This time our man is not alone either as he shares his trip with new fellows who are gonna leave a mark on Delta: Gianni Giublena Rosacroce and his clarinet, Cannibal Movie’s Donato Epiro’s organs, and Piovs and his Moog. 
Recorded and mixed in Rome by Fisik and Mai Mai Mai at Hombrelobo Studio between Dec 2013 and Jan 2014.

Out on 24 May (the very same day of the Thargelia party in old Athens), Delta comes on manila-colored die-cut discobags, with full-color labels and insert on tracing paper, all housed in strong, picture-disc-like PVC sleeve.
One-time pressing limited to 500 with artwork by S. Anhayt.

A driving force in what some critics dubbed "Italian Occult Psychedelia", Heroin In Tahiti from Rome inaugurate 2014 with two tracks of their unmistakable Spaghetti-Sound. 
On Side A, "Peplum" is an apocalyptic take on some imaginary Morricone soundtrack, filled with twangy guitars, doomsday synths, and even a mellotron: listen to it, and you will see Lee Van Cleef's ominous face wandering in a fucked up roman borgata, year 2018. 
Side B's "Alo" is more in the giallo-vein and sounds like a clash between Bruno Nicolai and Demdike Stare. The track was originally conceived for "In Every Dream Home A Heartache", an exhibition by artist Phil Collins (not that...) which saw Heroin In Tahiti contribute with sounds and visions together with artists such as David Sylvian, Laetitia Sadier, Pye Corner Audio, and Demdike Stare themselves.

HEROIN IN TAHITI - ALO

 Amazing techno and nothing for weak nerves. Monya starts her own label Corresponding Positions with a belter of an ep. Nothing less then two originals produced by herself plus remixes by Perc and Bas Mooy. While the title track &gt;Steine Im WegVerweht&lt; is more about the atmosphere and depth of sounds. Perc and Bas Mooy both reworked the second track and definitely added a lot of raw power to this piece of vinyl. Its an authentic and varied 4 tracker which will for sure find ist way to plenty of record cases and triggers our curiosity for what Correspondign Positions will come up with in the future. the form of the ancient god kaikkialla, back on earth after millions of years and intent on spreading his divine message through an auditory medium!
the god then took over the young man, back then known as vincent, and possessed his body and soul to use as a medium..
from that day on, kaikkialla has been roaming the earth, flushing the ears and minds of young souls with thundering basslines and brainripping fms... planting tiny little crystals in their brains as he goes on, leaving them helpless and entranced...
