Dubsons represents a musical project on the Romanian underground scene and started making an own sound with influences from dub,techno & house .Their first vinyl release was signed at BodyParts Records in oct 2012 (Dubsons - Semi Luna / Dubsons - In Doi). After this , the duo had other releases on Project London (Dubsons - Custom EP incl. Vinyl Speed Adjust remix) & Vara Records (Dubsons - Vezuviu).
You can hear their inovative sound in mixes from djs like Rhadoo,Petre Inspirescu,Praslea,Raresh,Valentino Kanzyani,Barac etc.
2013 was deffinetly a good year for Vlad and Robert with gigs in Berlin,London,Paris,Moscow,Sankt-Petersburg,Bucharest etc.

Vlad and Robert are preparing 3 vinyl releases in the near future (2 EPs + 1 remix),  but more informations will be available soon.

Bedouin live @ the Mixmag Lab NYC - October 2015

When many people think of Romanian house music, three DJs immediately come to mind: Rhadoo, Raresh and Petre Inspirescu. Look a little deeper, though, and you'll find a vast undercurrent of highly skilled selectors, many without much recognition outside fans of the country's subtle minimalist sound. These DJs play most of their gigs in Romania, only occasionally venturing abroad for dates outside their home country. They play (and often make) music at a very high standard, their output defined by intricate, groove-led tracks built for long DJ sets and crystal-clear soundsystems 

Herodot is one such artist. Co-founder of the Unanim label with Piticu, he's been a respected DJ in Bucharest, his home town, for the past decade, playing frequently in clubs around the city both as a warm up DJ and occasional headliner. Like many of his countrymen, his style is loopy and restrained, shaped by long spells behind the decks and frequent appearances at afterhour events. This week's podcast is a window into the thriving scene Herodot has emerged from. Percussion shuffles, basslines ebb and flow, but the groove stays steady. It's music to get lost in.

As the summer faded, a fog set in that made it difficult to see. Hoj meandered and he drifted, trying to find the way. After roaming awhile, he saw something shiny on another road, and he went to explore. Eventually he found his way back - and when he did the fog had lifted and the path was clear. Getting sidetracked was exactly what he needed to find his way.

This is the recording of our Friday sunrise set from Robot Heart 2015 which marks the second anniversary since our very first set together as Bedouin.  Its a pleasure to share as a small token of appreciation for all the magic we all experience on the Playa each year.

For the second year in a row, I was given the opportunity to stay with the ever-generous WO family.  That alone set things up to be an unforgettable week. My relationship with the guys has evolved at a healthy pace since the day we met just before BM 2015., and even though we do not see each other too often, we have grown fairly close.
This mix was recorded in the wee hours, from around 3 to 5 on Sunday morning. The evening leading up to the Man Burn was absolutely insane for me. It was just after sunset when my lover and I got stuck in the deep playa for a solid 90 minutes trying to find our way back to the Esplanade. I recall the sky getting really dark & stormy, feeling a couple of drops of rain and watching the wind pick up and throw dust into the air lowering our visibility by the second. I quickly realized we were not getting away from Mother Nature’s show. We jumped off our bicycles and embraced the situation, sat there for a moment to understand the storm was not stopping anytime soon. We then started pushing our bicycles struggling to even see our feet. I was holding my scarf around my head trying to protect my eyes, mouth and nose from getting filled up with dust. We were blind, and at the mercy of the elements.
Then . . . Something extremely strange happened out there. I remember us walking straight for so long and returning to the same point twice. It was like we had been walking around in circles. My level of confusion hit the red. Each art piece’s light in the dusty horizon would give me hope to have reached the destination. The struggle was real. It turned out to be one of the most memorable times of the week.
We eventually got back to the camp, unrecognizable, covered in white dust, looking 120 years old, exhausted. What an adventure! Our ordeal turned into one of the most memorable times of the week.
I passed out to wake up just before my set starting at 3am, following the Bedouin lads. To my surprise, the sky was clear again. I had managed to clean myself up and thought “great”, it’s going to be nice and calm out there . . . There was not one cloud in sight. I left my goggles and scarf behind and grabbed my USB sticks. I headed to the stage to watch the boys end their set to a packed dance floor. Whilst still in the process of waking, I jump on and guess what? Yes, another storm hit, a few minutes into my set. That’s it. I can’t see anything anymore, barely even the CD players, and of course, I don’t have my goggles. The wildness of the vista before me combined with my struggle made this experience truly magical in its own ways. The energy that surrounds you in such a situation is indescribable. It almost feels like time stops. Those of you who were there will remember, and those who weren’t, here is your opportunity to join in on my dusty journey at WO.
