We are really proud to announce the reissue of one of the most important Dutch Wave bands THE ACTOR, with their seminal 1982 tape "EXPLODED VIEW". "In the beginning of the eighties, a new phenomenon emerged: home taping. This way of recording resulted in a lot of noise. But that was less important then getting one’s music out to the public. A well known label for cassette bands in those days was the dutch Trumpett Tapes. They were the first to publish the music of The Actor, who became their top selling cassette band in 1982 and 1983. The Actor’s first release was Exploded View in 1982. The songs – sung both in English and German – often related to fashion, modernism, dancing and appearence. This made The Actor “quite fashionable."

LP Edition of 500 copies.
Tape Edition of 120 copies.

Limited silskcreen art edition for the first 50 copies, 160 gram white vinyl.

Quakers is a hip-hop collective boasting 30+ members and a core of three producers: Fuzzface, 7-Stu-7 and Katalyst. After their debut album on Stones Throw a couple years ago, Katalyst made a mix for Stones Throw podcast 72. Here's his second, Quaker Tape II, 40 minutes with everything from hip-hop, psychedelic soul to new wave. Whatever you call it, we call it "music."

This was done as an example of manipulating the Q127 Fixed
Filter Bank in real time. The sound was being looped via an
EDP set with a fixed loop length, feedback set at about 90%,
and overdub on, in order to create a Tapeloop/Fripptronics/Terry
Riley effect. This is a single square wave oscillator set at a
fixed frequency. The Voyager sound (ring modulated higher
frequency) was added (in real time) to give it some more
interest.

7 of the 8 controls allow me to modify moog model 15 app quickly without having to go to the M15 app (except here for intro/outro ddelay).

Audiobus hosts M15->Conv Reverb->Audioshare, & MidiSequencer.
Model 15 app is playing a Rubicon bass patch of mine. All possible CC's are mapped so that I can setup this sequence to tweak the controls directly. 

I could probably have played the sub-VCO better, but that's just me knowing what CC values map well!

This piece starts off with full mix/feedback on M15's ddelay - which I start to reduce to the main sequence.
