Genex is the newest product of today’s Techno scene, defined by fast-paced grooves that keep you moving and synths that stab your soul. This guy will do some serious damage to the dancefloor.

When Jim van de Ruit (’02) got in touch with playing the guitar at the age of 11, he knew he wanted to become a musician. Since then, he has kept on making music and switched to electronic music when he was 15. But after visiting his first real rave, he knew he wanted to make his techno sounds like the professionals. While he is at the helm of this musical journey as the DJ and producer, Genex’s sound can be characterised by high-energy, fast-paced grooves that are guaranteed to keep audiences moving and engaged from start to finish. With a keen ear for techno, Genex weaves together mesmerising rhythms and synths to create a soundscape that is both dynamic and captivating.

Born and raised in Lisbon, where he discovers his love for techno, club culture and a promising rising portuguese scene, Dlyn is taking strong steps from the dancefloor to the booth. Also co-founder of @algum-ritmo , a portuguese crew label that has been earning respect in the scene, marking their footprint on the community. Trying his best to keep the pace with a distinct and diverse palette of sounds on his sets, surfing between scratched raw shapes and hypnotic outerworld atmos.

For this week’s LAB, we are thrilled to feature ATSO, a DJ and producer from Porto whose journey into the world of hypnotic soundscapes began as a humble hobby and quickly blossomed into a deep-rooted passion. Known for his entrancing sets and innate sense of groove, Atso brings a unique energy that reflects both personal dedication and collective spirit.
His style is shaped by long hours of digging, experimenting, and connecting with the local scene. As part of Analytical Convenience, and more recently with his project MO;MENTO, Atso has been building spaces—both online and offline—where music takes the lead.
