Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:

- An extremely important affair that is required in order to receive success and salvation. 

- “The Day when there will not benefit [anyone] wealth or children, But only one who comes to Allah with a sound heart.” [Sūrah ash-Shūrā 26: 88-89]

- Fruits of possessing a sound heart. 

- Narrations highlighting the importance of a sound heart and righteous actions. 

- The currency on the Day of Judgement. 

- A du’ā the Messenger ‎of Allāh ﷺ would make plentifully.

- Qualities we should strive to inculcate within ourselves to become from the best of the people. 

- The Messenger’s ﷺ instruction to ask Allāh for a sound heart. 

- Beautiful words from Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) describing the sound heart, and five affairs that create a barrier between the servant and his Lord.

[12/09/2025] Return Back to Allāh, He Will Not Forsake You - By Sh Abu Idrees Muhammad Khān حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.

Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:

– "All of the Children of Ādam are erroneous and sinful, the best of those who sin and err are those who repent." Hadith.
– Allāh تعالى says: {Say: “O ‘Ibadi (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah, verily Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful} [Surah Zumar (39):53].
– Hadith Qudsi: "O my slaves. Indeed, you sin during the day and you sin during the night but I will forgive all sins".
– An encouragement to come back from sin and return back to Allāh.
– Narrations highlighting that Allāh is the Oft-Forgiving and Most-Merciful.
– The ways and means to return to Allah:
- Changing one’s condition.
- ⁠Du'ā – "Sayyidul Istighfār".
– Explanation of the du'ā.
– Du'ā for wellbeing in this life and the hereafter.
– Allāh does not change the state of a person until they change themselves.
– Those who do wrong then they seek forgiveness. And who seeks forgiveness..do not continue on with the sin.

[27/09/2025] On That Day One Will Flee From Their Brother and Mother and Father and Wife and Children - By Sh ‘Abdulilah Lahmami حفظه الله. Masjid As-Sunnah An-Nabawiyyah, Aston, Birmingham, UK.

Some points discussed:

- “O man, verily, you are labouring (with your deeds) towards your Lord with a sure return (to Him), and then you will meet Him (with your deeds, good or evil).” [Sūrah al-Inshiqāq 84:6]

- Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) on the destructive nature of sins. 

- “O you who have believed, fear Allāh. And let every soul look to what it has put forth for tomorrow…” [Sūrah al-Ḥashr 59:18] 

- Preparing for our inevitable meeting with Allāh.

- “(That will be) the Day a man will flee from his brother. And (from) his mother and his father. And (from) his wife and his children.” [Sūrah ‘Abasa 80:34-36]

- Statements from al-Qurtubī, as-Sa’dī and Ibn ‘Uthaymīn (رحمهم الله) explaining the reason a man will run away from his close relatives on that Day. 

- The tafsīr of Ibn ‘Abbās (رضى الله عنهما) on the aforementioned verses as it relates to the Prophets and Messengers (عليهم الصلاة والسلام). 

- The two categories of people on the Day of Judgement. 

- Refutation of the Sūfīs who claim it is allowed to seek aid from the dead. 

- The great responsibility we have towards our families.  

- Caution against matters that lead to ḥarām.  

- Living a life of Tawḥīd and Sunnah. 

- The superiority of the ākhirah over the dunyā. 

- “Thereof (the earth) We created you, and into it We shall return you, and from it We shall bring you out once again.” [Sūrah Ṭā Hā 20:55]

- Imām ash-Shawkānī (رحمه الله) on the verse, “O mankind! Be afraid of your Lord (by keeping your duty to Him and avoiding all evil), and fear a Day when no father can avail aught for his son, nor a son avail aught for his father.” [Sūrah Luqmān 31:33]

- Sincere repentance to Allāh.  

- “They will be shown each other. The criminal will wish that he could be ransomed from the punishment of that Day by his children, and his wife and his brother, and his kindred who sheltered him, and whoever is on earth entirely [so] then it could save him.” [Sūrah al-Ma’ārij 70:11-14]

- The certainty of death and the closeness of the Hour. 

- Attributes beloved to Allāh that earn His aid. 

- The necessity of giving importance to the prayer. 

- “There is none in the heavens and the earth but comes unto the Most Beneficent (Allāh) as a slave.” [Sūrah Maryam 19:93]

- The grave consequences of insincerity. 

- Resolving to make changes now and be from those who rush to do good deeds. 

- Contrasting the desire of the kuffār to live forever in this dunyā and their desperate request to be destroyed in the hellfire due to the punishment.

✏️ Remedying the Heavy and Tight Chest
Lesson 5: The Light of Eemaan Prevails over the difficulties of this World
•	Recap of Lesson 4:
o	The cause and means of Allah saving you from your own evil could be just one dua 
o	Tawhid is the greatest cause for alleviating the tight chest
o	Shirk is the greatest cause for tightening the chest
o	The noor (light) of Eemaan (belief)

•	Shaikh Muhammad Amaan Al-Jaami (may Allah have mercy on him)  says the light of Eemaan expands the chest and as a result of that, a person does not attach significance to this world and isn’t worried by the toils of it nor does he/she take delight in its luxuries
o	However, this must be correct Eemaan, free from shirk
o	Eemaan must be based on what the prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) taught us
•	Shaikh Muhammad Amaan Al-Jaami continues that perhaps there is a person who has Eemaan but is in a state of poverty or does not have much wealth, or perhaps he has enemies whom Allah has placed in a state of authority (as Allah has done in the case of many Prophets, Messengers and those who strive to bring about rectification in order to test them). Such people, Shaikh Muhammad Amaan Al-Jaami says, they find within themselves love of Allah and being in a state of happiness
•	Shaykh Ibnul-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) says the believer has an expanded and alleviated chest in this world despite the difficulties he faces, and when his Eemaan becomes intensified, then he will have an more expanded chest when facing the difficulties of life more so than what expansion he would find in a state of ease.
o	When such a person departs this world (dies), his/her heart becomes even more expanded, just as one who leaves a state of confinement as, in reality, this world is a prison for the believer
o	When the believer dies, he/she will experience bliss in the life of Al-Barzakh. However, when Allah raises him on the day of resurrection he/she will experience such a degree of relaxation which cannot be compared to what came before it
•	Allah may cause the enemies of those who strive to bring about rectification (e.g. the Propehts) to overpower them as a trail 
o	Shaikh ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (d. 728 AH may Allah have mercy on him), the teacher of Ibnul-Qayyim, was tested greatly however despite these difficulties Allah provided him with bliss, happiness and an expansive chest
o	Shaikh ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (when imprisoned) said: “What can my enemies do to me? My garden is in my chest, wherever I go it goes with me, it does not leave me, my imprisonment is seclusion, my being killed is martyrdom, and my being driven out of my land is tourism”
o	Shaikh Muhammad Amaan Al-Jaami says can your enemies do any more than this (to imprison, to kill, or to expel)?
o	Ibn Qayyim reports regarding the imprisonment of Shaikh ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah in the fortress of Damascus that he said “If I was to spend this fortress worth of gold, it would not equate to the gratitude and thanks I wish to give for this blessing (of being imprisoned in this fortress)” 
•	Regardless of what others may do, if a person has the light of Eemaan then his/her heart is protected from the difficulties of this world
o	Ibn Qayyim says that he had not seen anyone live a life happier than Shaikh ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah despite the difficulties he endured. Whenever fear increased with them they would go to Shaikh ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, seeing him and listening to him speak would replace the fear with relaxation, certainty and tranquillity
•	Shaikh ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah: “Indeed in the world there is a paradise, whoever does not enter into this paradise, he will not enter into the paradise of the Hereafter”
o	The paradise of this world is the delight of obeying and worshipping Allah.
•	Eventually such a person who obeyed Allah will die and his/her soul will be in bliss
