An attempt at taking a classic rock song and making it sound more electronica. We were in the studio and my song I was working on fit "Woodstock" - so we changed it to that song. 
I would love to work with DJ's to take this song into more of an electronica feel direction... so it can dance... let me know if you hear it.

Four tracks of stone cold party denters, the lead track says it all: pure drum machine poetry, all jacking and soul-hacking, ‘Party Like You’re Not Alive’ could easily raise the dead. The Awesome Soundwave label will start 2020 as it means to go on: with an essential new album from Honeysmack that once again raises the bar for Carl Cox's influential label. Recorded live over two days in Coxy’s El Rancho studio, the album is an amalgamation of expansive modular sounds, the likes of which were carefully edited into what you hear now. This truly is an album that bares all the hallmarks of a producer who is currently working on a PHD in acid techno and improved electronic music. 

Honeysmack is an Australian electronic dance music producer, live artist and DJ who has been at the forefront of the Aussie acid house and techno scene since the 1990s. He has worked with notable labels like Sony, Shock Records and Kickin Records under a wide range of aliases. Using vintage hardware and a renegade's approach, he brings real dynamism to his live shows and studio sounds and remain a pioneering force. This new album is his fourth since 1997 and offers nine tracks of exquisite and absorbing techno that head in bold new directions.

WHACK3RS VOL.1 it will be the first volume of a various artists series of sonic episodes to be released. WHACK3RS title arose from the idea that 3 tracks will always be included. For the first compilation to be released on WHACK, Aitor Ronda is inviting the well known german producer Heerhorst, the young Spanish talented Blakeit, and the Turkish rising artist Riza Gobelez based in Netherlands.

Before pressing the 'play' button. The concept of family is of enormous relevance to Aitor. No matter how much life changes in the future, it will probably continue to be needed in one form or another. And with that said, it should be clear that one of WHACK's main tasks will be to seek and discover real talent around the world.

Now, yes. Musically speaking, the common thread on this release is, of course, techno. A 3-track pack built with deep rhythms, some shamanic breathings and outrageous progressions. Sometimes techno with striking synthesizers and energetic drums, but also trancy with an evolving and singular grooves. That’s what happens listening to Aitor Ronda & Heerhorst’s “Blend Me”. Also transporting us to a kind of dark trance macrocosm, overwhelming pads and edgy synth patterns it is Blakeit with “Golden Ratio”. And last but not least mighty, “Clarify” by Turkish producer Riza Gobelez, a heavy compound of aggro 303 drives, convulsive electro- clapping and staccato bass motifs.

Theo Nasa makes his debut on Rekids this December with ‘Worldwide Ravers EP’.

The Alien Sound Trax boss, who has previously appeared on the likes of World Unknown, Suara, and UNCAGE, makes his mark on Radio Slave’s imprint with the hard-hitting and distinct ‘Worldwide Ravers EP’.

Deeply infused with the unmistakable sound of the UK, Nasa draws from his broad range of influences for his EP, distilling elements of Jungle, Rave, and Hardcore into his own brand of meticulously crafted, difficult-to-pigeonhole techno. Opener ‘Dubska’, clocking in at over ten minutes long, is a relentless and fast-paced affair, bubbling along at breakneck speed with the help of classic vocal samples, while ‘World Dance (Rinse Out Mix)’ fuses breakbeats and droning bass to create a high energy track that twists and turns at 140bpm. Field recordings of birds in ‘Summertime Raving In London’ sit alongside classic drum kits and emotive chords while living up to its titular character.

Riva Starr makes a highly anticipated return to his Snatch! imprint with two uplifting, soul-drenched house cuts featuring vocals from London-based singer Gavin Holligan.

As always with a release from East-London-based Stefano Miele, aka Riva Starr, there's fun, funk and musicality in bucketloads on offer with 'If I Could Only Be Sure'. Title-track 'If I Could Only Be Sure' is a soulful cut, fusing sultry, emotive vocals from ex-footballer and singer-songwriter Holligan with rich keys and a captivating groove. 'Scat Dub', a glorious and buoyant piece driven by loose, organic percussion and titular vocal rhythms that tightly wind hooks upon hooks within the track, rounds things off with some serious earworm-ing chops.

A musical free spirit, there's good reason why Riva Starr's productions and remixes find homes at so many top tier labels and 'If I Could Only Be Sure', complete with superb vocals from Gavin Holligan, is yet another diamond in his discography.

Aliah Selah's 1st solo CD ACOUSTIC PERFUME, featured on local Austin radio stations KUT, KTSW, KVRX, KGSR, & KOOP in perfect time for Lilith Fair. Her 2nd CD LIVIN' IN THE SHADE started playing on those stations. Her songs lead her to becoming a featured artist on KKMJ where she interviewed with DJ Eric Leikam who had dubbed her, "a kinder, gentler, Tori Amos" when he worked at KLBJ. After her Amsterdam A2A Showcase, some European stations started playing her unique spoken word and sung performance art song "Little Shelf" that was nominated for a 2008 HOLLYWOOD MUSIC AWARD in the Ambient/New Age category after being nominated for a LA MUSIC AWARD in 2007 - both Experimental/Female Vocals. 

She's now releasing SHADES OF IMAGES on Int. World Peace Day - opening with song "Little Shelf" that she's choreographed for a music video that's set to open the film CoCreating.us (www.cocreating.us) honoring inspiring stories of those cocreating peace though a call for wellness around the world. The Shades Of Images CD has been nominated for several 2016 Independent Music Awards:  Best Adult Contemporary and Eclectic CD, “Come Alive” - Best Eclectic Song  &  “Listen” - Best Music Video. She's an interdisciplinary artist with a joyous spirit that reveals a deep commitment to inner growth and spiritual activism. Her song "Bless The Water" was used for radio & TV spots to support S.O.S. (Save Our Springs) opposing developers threatening the fragile watershed eco-system in Austin. An Electronica version has been re-released for World Water Day. Another song "Luna: Tree Of Life" celebrates the work of Julia Butterfly Hill who lived for 2 years in a soaring Redwood tree she named Luna to help save the ancient forest. Aliah's song "Sweetwater" is the title track on the Austin feature film that showcased in several festivals & plays regularly on PBS. Inspired by the ongoing peace movement's efforts - she's currently in pre-production with her next CD - IN LIGHT OF NOW as a follow-up to "What Is So?" that was played on several radio stations as the Iraq war first started. She offers video activism through Peacefarm Productions (www.peacefarm.org) that has  received several production grants for wellness videos. Aliah's a pro performer with hundreds of live performances; she's toured Japan, Canada & Alaska with the keyboardist for Counting Crows, while in Boston. In addition, as host of their Austin TV shows - she also featured her layered collage-like music art videos where she danced as another form of graphics - fulfilling her original vision of dancing to her own music.
