and the memory of Earth

sparked the fire in our lungs.

We ran through steel veins,
dropped a heart-shaped bomb

and watched their world fold into silence.

[Bridge – freefall through stars]
No ship.
No gravity.

tied by hands and fear, [ drop]
falling
through the dark

like two tears lost in a sigh.

Then light.
Then roar.

A track written for a friend of mine (Tyrell) who lost his 16 year old brother, Renell, when he was brutally stabbed by a maniac at a bus stop, and my wife who has lost three of her brothers. I wish I could do more than write a song but I hope it gets over the feelings they give me and how I share in their losses.
