Current Pathways is Mahadev, aka Matt Gangi (GANGI, Ivory Fields, Fake Estates). Mahadev operates from California and is currently based in the Verdugo Mountains of Glendale in Los Angeles County. With Tattvas, Mahadev deals in an ego-free world of elements. Ideas range through frequency, amplitude, and duration in a session of experiments in the illusion of time, as Mahadev puts it.
Mahadev creates his music combining sounds and recording techniques that are anything but ordinary. He uses modular synthesizers, circuits that he hand-built, string instruments, vocals, gong, samples, and field recordings taken while practicing in India. The record was mixed to a revived reel-to-reel tape machine and other analogue circuits, a technique that is hard to come by and rarely used nowadays.
Sonic influences on the mini album include Suzanne Ciani, Delia Derbyshire, Alio Die, Brian Eno, Laraaji, Pauline Oliveros, Daphne Oram, & Steve Roach. The record was inspired by Guru Ji Goa Gil who has been supporting and djing the record at the close of his 24+ hour performances. Some original ideas can be heard on Tattvas, incl. organic live samples and a revived bassline from a show GANGI played in Brooklyn from a semi-cover of a song from the 1980’s L.A. punk band, the Germs. The 5th track was recorded separately from the record. The main mantra is recited by Swami Pratik Chaitanya Ji. The Swami is a brother to Mahadev, since they met at the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj that he participated in by Guru Ji's [Goa Gil's] grace.
Current Pathways has toured across the United States and Internationally. Besides GANGI, he worked and has recorded with Ivory Fields and Fake Estates.

Have you ever seen those funny shows about people’s “alien” abuction stories?

Dimethyltryptamine, is a chemical compound that is found in the part of your brian called the Pineal Gland. The Pineal Gland is a pinecone shaped gland in the middle of your brain located in between your two eyes. This chemical compound is found in every living animal, human and plants.

Dimethyltryptamine is responsible for something that baffles people as well as is a common occurence everynight, aka dreams. During your REM (rapid eye movement) cycle of sleep, this chemical is released into the bloodstream. This is what causes you to dream, and have a sense of “being” while you are in that dream process. Why this chemical is relased during your REM cycle? That is one of the many mysteries surrounding this chemical compound.

This story like many before started with the influence of sound.
Our purpose is to evolve the human consciousness to  an awakening frame of mind, expanding the neuro network in turn to create unique harmonics to the listener’s ears.
For us it began a few years ago while attending psychedelic electronic festivals, back then it was centered around music on mainstream trance sounds, generic templates plus annoying build ups to nowhere, for this it was obvious that it was time for a transformation.
So began the journey of like-minded sound producers who got together and collaborated an alternate perspective, this  potential is to bring about a dynamic sound design and spread a message that music has a true essence to explore conscious awareness, while to bring back the essence of psychedelic to a dance floor near you.
How the community started?.
In 2004 this dynamic emerged in creating a new underground label.
Founded by Dark Whisper, the tribe ‘Alice-D’ was officially born.
The mission was to create a deep impact with rolling bass lines in synergy with multidimensional sound-scape, that would influence the psyche within a community and bring about a healing “spiritual” transition to them.
Frequencies are designed and edited by the musicians involved with the Alice-D crew.
Numberless sound experiments have followed, while skills improved, the Alice-D community are ready to transform the dance floors with a psychedelic experience.
Though, like many ideas the beginning was a challenge, but this only made the community much more persistent.
We have attended numerous gatherings to encourage and create an awareness of alternative cerebral psychedelic sounds.
This has led to a major breakthrough and a better understanding from the community to further elevate these ideas and experience a new style of music.
What does it sound like?.
The distinctive sounds of Alice-D we feel is a mystical journey more tuned to a surreal experience, while dancing, meditating or expressing the power of selfless.
Every style is prismatic however, the real purpose is to let the wanderlust experience to find a true ritual of a gathering ceremony with a positive out put and learning experience.
A higher level of collective conscience thereby creating an intelligent being to bring dance  to the harmonical core!
