This is a live session I did last September with BBC Radio Humberside, performing two of my original songs; I'm Fine and Magpie.

Hailing from Hull, Alice has been writing and performing for a number of years, reaching success with national radio plays on Steve Lamacq's Radio 6 show, numerous festival slots and support slots for bands such as Julia Bardo and Common Holly. Her songs delve into the problems we face as a society, urging people to listen closely to her intricate lyrics which touch upon themes of politics, feminism and personal wellbeing. The Baritone Ukulele provides a unique tone and depth in the background, as she captures the audience with her powerful voice.

Since her debut EP release 'Now is not your time to speak' in 2019, Alice has been collaborating with a number of established artists such as Stewart Baxter (LIFE), Lily Sturt-Bolshaw (Sunflower Thieves), Ysabelle Wombwell and Brad Blackwell (The Howl and the Hum) to create a new and exciting sound for her upcoming releases. 'Boyband' is the first of these tracks, and speaks out about the 'boys will be boys' mentality that so often occurs within local and national music scenes.
