Music has a way of reaching us where words fall short, it can lift us up, make us vulnerable, and take us far outside our comfort zone. At Almost Like We Met, that connection between artist and listener is at the core of everything we do. If there's one form of art nearly everyone relates to, it's music, and this release is a reminder of just how powerful that bond can be. alice.km joins the Almost Like We Met roster with her stunning new EP, Bathed In Color part of our Almost Doesn't Matter series. These tracks are some of the most heartfelt and vulnerable pieces we've ever shared, proving that music isn't always about the high-energy bangers. The journey begins with 'Champagne', a piano-driven liquid drum & bass track layered with lush pads, warm bass, and alice's own ethereal vocals. On the flip side, 'Paint Me Green' slows things down with liquid breaks, weaving emotional textures of pads and powerful melodic arps around another beautifully written vocal performance. Bathed In Color is refreshing, intimate, and deeply moving-a release that captures both strength and fragility in equal measure. We hope listeners connect with this emotional ride as much as we have.

alice.km trusts her instincts. In truth, the nascent DJ, producer, and songwriter has never done anything but. Her instincts got her started on the decks, defined her ethereal production style, and guided her all around the world doing what has only ever felt like a need: playing music. 

In 2016, her instincts led her to her first DJ gig in Brooklyn, New York, and not long after, she was playing at major venues in NYC like Elsewhere and The Rosewood Theater. She then began organizing her own tours of the West Coast of the United States, stopping in at legendary spaces like Avalon Hollywood and celebrated festivals like Dusk Music Festival. She’s also spread her wings internationally, being featured on two prominent London radio stations: Netil Radio and BMC Radio.

Now her instincts have brought alice.km to her current home of Phoenix, Arizona, where she is slowly but surely taking over the scene. In her present city, she has supported revered artists and parties like Anjunadeep’s Simon Doty and Drumcode’s Phoenix takeover, and she’s been selected to play at major events like June Jam Music and Art Festival. 

Having only started producing in 2020 when the pandemic closed all events, she’s now signed to labels like Fantastic Voyage, Circus Recordings, Lady of the House, and Delusional Records, crafting her unique sound that paints pictures as well as it induces dance moves
