Just a rough audio scrapbook of modular synth experiments

Autumn Drones is a solo project of Tim Stoneberg with occasional
collaborators encompassing the audio and visual realms. The musical
pieces take influence from Berlin School and IDM, with heavy use of
both modular and vintage synthesizers. Pieces range widely from dense
ambient soundscapes riddled with percussive blips and cascading
arpeggiations, to erratic noise and spattering drum loops. The video
portions of material are created via processing footage through
obsolete video equipment, oscilloscopes, and various video synthesis
methods.

Many of the pieces here are real-time live recordings in the studio with the modular synth.

Some of them are multi-tracked renderings of more familiar classic compositions with conventional keyboard synths as well as the modular synthesizer.

My main format in the modular world is 5U and MU (Moog Unit) large format synthesizers. It is a fairly large system with capabilities of many things happening at once as is evident in the recordings. I also have started a Eurorack system.
