So this is a variation of a VG-99 patch that got ported to the GP-10 that got ported to the SY-1000.  

This version is kind of a "Hearts of Space" style polysynth with big reverbs what sounds like high female vox on the higher notes if you fret them gently.  

I've got a number of variations of this but this one is a good starting point - adjust reverb to taste.

She wrote a random arrangement of notes for her to practice and I took that set of notes to produce this song.

Basically Electric Guitar set to Classic Strat on INST1 with ALT TUNE Set to +1 or -1. No other effects. Effect sounds like a slapback delay or slapback noise gate almost immediately after playing a note. Most noticeable on clean electric guitar or acoustic guitar, though also noticeable using Sitar, Banjo or the like. Playing scales really shows the issue. Sometimes sustaining a note while muting other strings creates artifacting in the sustained note.  Very last segment of this very boring audio is a patch I created -7 for all strings and modulation and delay with alt tune and that sounds fine. Farthest distance from standard pitch seems to be less effected with closest -1 more noticeable as well as +1. Problem seems most pronounced when you are trying to create a clean electric or acoustic guitar pitched differently Michael Hedges style and creates a strange gated response to notes - I also noticed that "Drop D" or "Drop Db" seems also effected but not as strongly and the low E, A and D strings are most effected when the issue does happen.

Two instances of Synth PWM model with compression on each instance, Mod Pan, each gets Stereo 2 Chorus with modulated reverb and a lot of gain (GK levels set to 100).  Set up an oscillating room fan to blow on the strings.  Run your hands up and down the strings while occasionally playing muted chords.  Run your hands up and down the strings while slightly muted for tape ripping chaos!

ColorWash (SY-1000 Patch Programming Session)

Modified version of "Tantalum Satellite" from the 2013 release "Xenomorph Continuum: Revealed".  With Keith Spears, Lee Wilcox, Kiera Gladman, Tanya Brody, and myself (did I miss anyone?).   On this track it's Keith on keyboards and synth, synth bass, tribal drums and Lee speaking dialog during the ambient part.   I basically play the lead guitar, rhythm guitars, ambient hex guitar, downtuned 7-string guitar and added the newly recorded heavy metal drums using a drum AI to follow the existing drums so I picture this like a band with two drummers - one who plays tribal complex beats and one who plays more straight metal beats.  It ended up sounding more different than I ever imagined it.
