01. Hauntologists - Howl

Höga Nord is probably the most versatile and genre hot stepper label out there at the moment, having caught the ear of legends like sir Andrew Weatherall, with their vinyl club, their quirky brand of Scandinavian left of centre music which could be classed as dub, techno, ambient, kraut, prog rock or free jazz on any given day is a testament to Mathias Nilsson's ear for a tune and lack of respect for genre.
Stockholm based Rickard Jäverling has been releasing proggy ambient music for the past 2 decades and is completely at home on Höga  Nord.  Sapiens Sapiens could well have been a dub record made in King Tubby's Vault. 
However, there is something as futuristic about this record as it is timeless. Especially in the second half of the track when the dubby grooves give way to a wall of sound style set of synths which assault every frequency on the spectrum.  
If rainbows did have a pot of gold at the end and those pots of gold were sounds, that sound would probably be Sapiens Sapiens.
