As the Summer draws in, the music keeps flowing here at WE FORFEIT. For June, we have a label we love. We have @gatedrecordings. Founded in 2019 by Dj @node and Jadey Smith, Gated has become an imprint of serious intent in the world of electronic music. 

This month, we’ve been lucky enough to speak with one the bosses of Gated, Node, about the imprint and what makes him tick. In a conversation that reveals all, and then some, we go back through the Gated catalogue and pick out some personal favourties from artists like Sound Synthesis, The Jaffa Kid and Dip Shim

In the second hour, Node takes the helm with a mix of serious proportions with gems from acid, breakbeat, electro and loads more. Expect unreleased material as well as tracks from Acidulant, Cityman Productions,  and Wave Function.

Italian dj, sonic explorer (and spatial researcher) based in Turin, Luce Clandestina aspires to create unconventional sound imageries fluctuating between light and darkness.

Her DJ sets weave between labyrinths of hypnotic, dark and often psychedelic rhythms, combined with warm tribal and trance influences — eclectic and spontaneous paths that develop intertwining in an unexpected narrative, reflecting the interest towards a more internal dance experience, mental and emotional.

Keith Tenniswood, known as Radioactive Man, is a pioneer in electronic music with roots in the mid-90s alongside Andrew Weatherall as Two Lone Swordsmen. Their experimental work on Warp Records set a benchmark for machine funk and electronic exploration, complemented by prolific remixes for artists like Spiritualized, Primal Scream, and Ricardo Villalobos. As a solo artist, Tenniswood’s celebrated debut Radioactive Man (1999) fused sound system culture with Drexciyan electro, leading to five studio albums and his current releases on his label Asking For Trouble.

A master of live performance and collaboration, Keith has worked with icons like dBridge, Ben Pest, and David Holmes, delivering razor-sharp beats designed for the dancefloor. Beyond production, he’s an acclaimed mastering engineer at Curve Pusher, ensuring total creative control over his music. His upcoming sixth album, Jam Out The Kicks, reflects years of global touring and dancefloor energy, with a new AV show set to captivate audiences in 2025

Alina Valentina is a The Hague based music producer drawing heavily from retro soundtrack and video game music. With her love for analog synthesizers she creates immersive, neo-surrealist “Lynchian” sound explorations reminiscent of modern composers like John Carpenter as well as more pop contemporaries Antoni Maiovvi, Lebanon Hanover and Molly Nilsson. Influenced by industrial music, synth pop and dark wave, her work blends camp sensibilities with melancholic and detached vocal delivery
