Alino Yes Papa is a Beninese singer, songwriter and guitarist who first came to prominence as a founding member of the music group "ZEM", which scored a string of hits - including "Zande" - in the region of West Africa in the early 2000s. His wife, Luise Yes Mama, is a German jazz singer living in Benin. In his compositions Alino Yes Papa sings about "God and Love", soothes children and pays tribute to the tireless mothers of Africa. After the release of his solo album "ALƆGƆ" in 2015, he perfected his songs with Yes Mama on tours in Benin, the West African region and Europe. 
Lately, the couple has been moving more towards jazz, funk and afro-beat, reworking some of Alino’s creations and writing new songs together. The song "Wake up Africa" is the soundtrack to an African awakening, an African renaissance. At the same time, the couple have combined German and Beninese influences in new and surprising live interpretations. Alino Yes Papa recorded his second solo album "Wake Up Africa" in 2020 and is currently working on his third album in collaboration with Yes Mama. 
With their current group of exceptional musicians, Le Yes Papa Groov' - Mariano Agbahounko on piano, Ricardo Agbahounko (RicSound) on second guitar, Patrick Kissezounon (PatouBass) on bass, Samuel Kinse on drums and Xavier Dah-Sode on traditional percussion - the couple have been playing together successfully for 5 years and have developed their compositions into an extraordinary live experience.

In 2023 and 2024, Alino Yes Papa, Yes Mama and Le Yes Papa Groov' toured Germany with more than 30 concerts to great acclaim.
