Born on December 27th 1988 in Pittsburgh, PA Zio was raised up in a single parent home due to his fathers federal incarceration . At a young age Z knew music was his thing, influences include Eminem, DMX, Drake, Tupac, and Lil Wayne. Zio is considered a "Jack Of All Trades" writing for himself and others, producing, and engineering tracks. In 2007 at the age of 17 and less than 6 months after his first ever studio recording "Bulletproof" he captured the attention of Dwayne Muhammad founder of the Pittsburgh Hip Hop Awards, and became nominated as "The Best Male" hip hop artist against Wiz Khalifa. With a diverse family bloodline his family was both in the hard areas of the city and also the outskirts of the city so he was exposed to various environments. When listening to his music you can tell he is a diverse and unique character. A majority of his fanbase incubated via Myspace climbing the charts to 1 Million online hits. Zio had a slight delay on his "take off" due to an accusation of organizing a marijuana grow operation in 2013. To date Zio maintains popularity on his Instagram under the name "@SellOunces" which is paying homage to his "Past Life".
