PREMIERE: DÜK - Afterglow Affair

Says the legend that on an eclipse ocasion, both guarani and inca people threw a big party to daze the Celestial Ounce (Xivi), because they believe that the end of the world would happen when she gobbles the Moon and Sun brothers, then the Earth falls thus in the fullest darkness. Just as Xivi, Raru is the hindu demon followed by a tiger that also tries to voraciously swallow the stars, causing the eclipses. Like these, countless ancestral myths around the world explain this phenomenon; for the Pomo people there is a fight between the Bear and the Sun, and for the Tlingit it is the moment of stealthy darkness for the Moon and the Sun to love each other.

Three years in a row, I was lucky to be a part of a community that created a utopian Black Rock City in the Nevada desert. Those years changed who I am now, destroyed old frames of what I called reality, and showed me new ways of being a human on Earth. This mix is inspired by my Burning Man experiences. Made with some old hits I met on the playa and new tracks I would be happy to play for my dusty international multicultural hippy friends. The music, like water, will always find a way to souls desperate for a deep journey. No matter where you are now, close your eyes for and fly into the desert. I'll be there for you.
