Amniote Editions teams up with Mala Junta to release “The Collective Capsule” in celebration of 5th anniversary of Berlin’s favourite queer event.

“The Collective Capsule” is a celebration and tribute to the unique Mala Junta and it’s impact on Berlin’s vibrant contemporary queer scene as well as a reflection of the core principles of these two collectives, which serve as a mirror for the society we want to push forward.

The package features a 12″ vinyl record composed of 4 tracks from Mala Junta’s residents Hyperaktivist, Yazzus, DJ Tool, and D.Dan, as well as two compilations featuring Roza Terenzi, Jensen Interceptor, Mohajer, Peachlyfe, Francois X, Narciss to name a few..

The Collective Capsule Compilation Vol. 2 emerges on Amniote Editions on 15th September.

We are excited to introduce the fifth solo album on our platform by Lithuanian producer @Shaknis, titled Neturi Vietos. Shaknis is a highly talented producer, mixing and mastering nerd, analog gear collector, Eurorack synth builder, and all-around genuine lad. His new album showcases a blend of pure electro with elements of breakbeat. Be sure to grab a cassette, and inside the J-card, you’ll find a picture of the synths he used to create this album. The release date is set for September 20th, available on both tape and digital formats.

A statement? Or self-reflection? Energetic moments of introspection, reflecting inability to fit in to a predefined reality. Shaknis (:/root) comes from a realm where genres blur and expectations dissolve, refusing to conform to any single style or category. During my Corona lockdown i decided to fire up my vintage hardware collection, and for the 1st time in my 15 years of music making, start jammin' without a single computer in sight.

I soon realized that creating music in this oldskool way, with each session limiting myself to just 1 synthesizer and 1 drumcomputer recorded in a single take, was the most fun i ever had in the studio.

So from now on Rod20 (as in 2020, but also 2.0) will serve for all my strictly (analogue) hardware productions, starting with the New Beginnings EP.
