Hot on the heels of their critically praised album "Havana '58" and with fans worldwide clamoring for more, The Bahama Soul Club has now called upon a brilliant range of producers, DJs and artists to put their own personal spin on Bahama's latest release. Sifting through the album's finest moments they worked their magic on selected tracks and rebooted them into pure rhythmic bliss: "The Havana Remixes" is a bright collection of Latin, House, Jazz, Funk, Soul & Disco with a thoroughly modern take on Dancefloor Jazz. 
Opener "Muévelo Papi" is a stirring 60s Boogaloo-hip-twist by the mighty CLUB DES BELUGAS, while Geordie mate SMOOVE from Newcastle turns “No Words” into a fusion of Jazz-house and Breakbeat. OPOLOPO pulls "Dizzy's Bounce" deeeep into jazzy House while MAESTRO&VEZZOLA and Chinchin's ZOUZOULECTRIC vs. GARDENER OF DELIGHT both having a diverse view on "Tropicana Flight", giving it a Disco-Latin-House-Funk treatment. SUONHO from Italy jams a more modern Soul-Disco-Funk on "No Words" and amps up the funk quotient on "Muévelo Papi" with a touch of Jazz and a Latin Twist. Rounding off the release is an unexpected Nu-skool Brazilika-brukbeat from POSITIVE FLOW aka Jesse Reuben Wilson on "Elegguà" and some solid Latin funky breaks from JACK&JOINTZ on the rolling "Rumba Fugaz". 

All remixes are mastered by The Uncle and very special radio-edits were made exclusively for the beautiful 180g vinyl. Containing nine tracks, this 12" looks like a neat introduction for newcomers and a nice round up for long-term Bahama Soul Club admirers. The full extended versions of all remixes will be released on CD and Digital formats.

As you might have guessed i had some off time lately. It seems like the production phase gets a ‚little‘ stretch.
Good for you guys as you’ll receive more music as usual. Not just from me.
And as my early roots lie in 90ies Hip Hop better to say Battle Scratch 90ties Hip Hop I decided to go back to the roots and started to have scratch sessions again. (No worries ill spare this part for you!)
But…From here on i found all the old beats i liked and still love to this day.
Couldn’t keep them from you.
I might do another one if you guys like it. Theres hundreds of classics in the crates! It was hard to decide.
So. Here comes the first Hip Hop Mix I’ve done in 16 Years, 80 minutes of classic 90’s Hip Hop instrumentals. Mixed on the old 1200…

Aber zum Glück hat eine Pappnase 384 Packungen Toilettenpapier gehamstert, welche sich nun an Deck türmen und die Legonostalgier unter der Besatzung dazu anspornen sich im allseits beliebten Spiel "Wer baut das krasseste Toilettenpapiercastle" zu übertrumpfen. 
Doch keine Panik auf der Titanic. Die Rettung naht. Fernab unserer Misere schlemmt Daensen genüßlich eine Durian. Da leuchtet sein sanitärer Plattenkoffer auf. SOS, die Tarabcrew ruft nach Hilfe. Schnurrstracks springt er auf. Mixt eine prall gefüllte Kiste seiner Lieblingsfrucht mit seinem abgespaceten, exotischen Sound und katapultiert sie in den Kosmos. Beatgesteuert hat sie nur ein Ziel. Rette die Apollo 12.

London’s very own Spin Doctor has been a busy boy while in Lockdown. He has created this epic mix dedicated to the powerhouse that is Q-Tip. Using 50 tracks to mark The Abstract’s 50th Birthday on Friday 10th April 2020.
 
The mix combinies a bunch of Tip’s productions, verses, samples, interviews and more. From A Tribe Called Quest to Solange, Nas to Quincey Jones, the mix explores all aspects of this man’s genius.
 
There are very few artists that can claim such impact on an entire genre, but A Tribe Called Quest’s Q-Tip can do just that and more. As a member of what is widely agreed to be the greatest Hip-Hop group of all time, as a solo artist and as a producer for the great and the good, Q-Tip’s impact is immeasurable. Through his influence on the likes of J-Dilla, Kanye West and Pharrell, his influence can still be heard throughout all forms of Hip-Hop and Soul. Keep Bouncing!
