Now, rough sleeping has gained a lot of attention recently amid new government plans to tackle the issue could see them being put in prison. 


The government wants to change a very old law that makes it illegal to sleep on the streets.


But many people, including Christian charities and church leaders, are upset because the new law's definition of what's bothersome includes things like 'sleeping in a doorway' or 'looking like you might sleep on the streets'. 


A group of clergy from the West of London has written an open letter to local MPs Nicke Aiken and Sir Keir Starmer warning the new powers to police would "criminalise" homeless people. 


The health secretary says they won't make being homeless a crime.


Premier's Lydia Davies spoke to Father Dominic Robinson, Chair of the Diocese of Westminster Justice and Peace Commission, and one of the signatories of the letter:

It looks like Netflix is hoping to expand  its catalogue with more faith-based films through a new deal.

US filmmakers Tyler Perry and Devon Franklin have been announced as producers for a series of Christian movies that will be exclusively available on Netflix.

Kicking off this new partnership will be "R&B," a contemporary version of the biblical love story between Ruth and Boaz.

It's now one year on from the start of ethnic and religious violence in India's northeastern state of Manipur. 

Clashes between the majority Hindu Meitei community and Christian tribal Kukis has led to at least 220 people being killed. 

People in the remote state bordering Myanmar have been suffering violence after a court ordered the state government last year to consider extending special economic benefits and quotas in government jobs and education enjoyed by the Kukis to the majority Meiteis as well.

Kailean Khongsai spoke with Premier's Fiona Stewart about what the past year has been like for those in Manipur. 

He's an ordinand in training in Southall who hosted a prayer event for persecuted Christians in Manipur.
