Issa wrap on mixes this year! I've been keeping a playlist that has a song for every day of the year, and thought it'd be fun to pull it all together into a mix. That said, it's kinda difficult to make it all make sense together lol. So this mix is like a digest: it's a bundle of stuff that made an impact on me this year. Lotsa bits and pieces from everywhere, including a pretty solid section on the afro house that I've really dialed into recently. Anyways, grateful to all y'all who've been around this year. At the end, I had fun letting the eras speak to each other in a way that felt right. Also, this was my first mix on the CDJ 3000s, and I had hella fun putting it together. The transitions, the layering, the way the energy shifts - all of it felt like a new way to stretch and explore sound.
