Up-and-coming producer and DJ @jinjishinobi welcomes us to Johannesburg with "Rhythm and Souletry" an exploration of contemporary Boom bap and Soul featuring several artists from South Africa's burgeoning underground music scene who've put their own spin on the sound. 

"I've been producing for about four years now. What made me want to start producing was when I heard Substance by Goldwater on Soundcloud for the first time and thought it was the best piece of production I'd ever heard at the time, still think it is till today, so a good friend of mine hooked me up with an android application called Caustic and that's about when I started learning how to make beats before moving on to FL Studio. The most notable artists I can say influence me right now are J Dilla, Knxwledge, and Kaytranada, but in most cases, I'm more influenced by a type of sound than I am by an artist and even that changes from time to time."
