Full Bleed presents two new meticulously crafted broken beat, jazzy house tunes from veteran producer Alland Byallo.

Born and raised in LA, musically seasoned in San Francisco, and now 
residing in Berlin, Byallo’s DJ career took him all over the world, and through a steady education of electronic music genres. Since retiring from the nightlife, Byallo now devotes all of his musical energy into perfecting his production and mixing skills, immersing himself in analog synths and releasing jazz-infused house and broken beat from his home studio, dubbed “The Secret Button”. All the tunes coming out of the room are strictly self-released on his own Full Bleed label, and reflect his obsessive levels of attention to detail and quality.

“Fill Light Shine” showcases two of the finest and most sophisticated tracks in Byallo's almost 20 year-strong discography. Drawing inspiration from all his influences throughout the years, this release sees Alland pay a deeper tribute to the genre that originally ignited his passion for music: Jazz. The EP features lush Rhodes chords, melodic Wurli licks, and an abundance of Moog synth sounds, taking the listener on quite the soulful and energetic journey. The tracks, "Karma Beach" and "Reflect, Rotate", are highly personal pieces, the former being inspired by a secluded strip of coastline in Zadar where Byallo found peace and the latter being a tribute to overcoming his own challenges of repeating self-defeating patterns.

Bump it on the sound system, on the airwaves, in the club, in your headphones, this transcendent EP is a peak in Alland Byallo’s artistic career and an epic document of his musical journey.

The Berlin-Duo has also been around since a minute. DJ Cle was part of the legendary Martini Brös, while Eva Be has made a name for herself since 1995, releasing on Pokerflat amongst others. Back in 2019, Leng Records offered a debut to a previously unheralded producer, Takovoi. Three years on, the Russian nu-disco specialist returns to the label with a five-track EP that displays the depth and quality of his rapidly evolving trademark sound.

The Perfect Match EP delivers a range of grooves and stylistic approaches while showcasing the producer’s love of dreamy Balearic chords, soft-touch synth sounds and colourful melodies.

He sets the tone with the EP-opening title track, ‘Perfect Match’ where sustained, sun-down chords, yearning lead lines, cascading piano motifs and twinkling electronics ride a shuffling, post-electro beat and a warm, undulating bassline. ‘Homesickness’ sees Takovoi wrap waves of rising and falling synth sounds and melancholic melodies around a deep, hypnotic nu-disco groove, while the slow-motion sensation that is ‘Dreams’ brings throbbing analogue bass, sustained piano chords, sparkling electronics and the gentlest of beats.

Takovoi’s dancefloor credentials come to the fore with ‘Bubbles’, a slowly building Balearic nu-disco gem that layers up echo-laden percussion hits, eyes-closed melodies, and drowsy synth sounds over a bustling beat that sits somewhere between deep house and TR-808-driven broken beat. 

This off-kilter approach to beat programming continues on the EP’s inspired closing cut, ‘Another The Same’, where hazy female vocal samples, immersive chords and reverb-heavy musical motifs gingerly dance on a bouncy and densely layered 4/4 beat. When the main melody makes its presence felt midway through, the track is elevated to a whole new level altogether. It’s a fittingly impressive end to Takovoi’s new EP for Leng.

Hi, I'm Alland and I like making and collecting music. I was born and raised in LA, moved to SF in 2003 where my friends and I hosted a big, fancy, well-known techno party at a legendary club called The Endup.

After seven wild years in the Bay I moved to Berlin and some fun stuff happened. Got an album out on Third Ear Recordings, some singles and EPs on Room With A View, Dirt Crew, Poker Flat, Rawax, Housewax and some other nice labels. Had a couple residencies in clubs and radio stations. A couple of my best mates and I started a band project called KAMM, and together we released two albums. The first came out on Marcel Vogel's fine Intimate Friends label, and the sophomore LP on France's legendary Circus Company. See? Fun stuff happened!

These days I spend most of my time in my nice little home studio, I'm the Art Director at Beatport, have my own indie label called Full Bleed Sound, I buy synths I can't afford and I'd most likely like to pet your dog.
