"Blue memory box" is an EP filled with blurry memories from imaginary pop of the 2000's. The range of genres heard in the EP recall pop, pop-rock, dance and ambient music.

I was specifically inspired by artists from this decade because it's music that I heard when I was a child and then a teenager. It's also music that created a special bond between me and someone I was in love with. Created during a heartbreak, I wanted to encapsulate music that was the soundtrack of beautiful moments in love with this person.

It was made with the generative adversarial network (GAN) called Jukebox AI and some cuts. It's a powerful tool that can generate music from its database. It's possible to specify musical genres or the names of famous artists to give a direction to it and it's also possible to feed the database with the artists you want to.

The multiple voices singing are the result of a mix of the voices in the immense database of AI. There are some cuts and loops that I've made to transform the pop music generated into the ambient. The lo-fi grain is inherent to the process but matched perfectly with the idea to make it sounds like it's coming from the past, a past that will forever keep a warm place in my heart."

"The never ending hug" is my second EP, I worked again with the generative adversarial network (GAN) called Jukebox AI.

This project is about embracing chaos to grow out of it. Each track could be the soundtrack of an imaginary TV channel. Jukebox AI produces complex music that feels overwhelming, it helped me to create something between euphoria and hysteria. All the repetitive loops evoke a party that would never end and a hug that would never end."

“Emellay” is the second EP released by Upstate NY-based artist music lovers anonymous (MLA). The project can be seen as a sort of sequel to his first EP, “Wherever Chance Leads Me, I Will Go As A Friend,” released on formforum earlier this year. There are familiar sounds: humble field recordings, string-like textures, with an increased emphasis on controlled discord. Samples from important periods in his life are re-contextualized into something individualized: an interpretive dance between the weight of life and the bliss of insignificance. A pseudo-self titled project, “Emellay” functions as an unfinished self-portrait. Or maybe rather, a blind contour. These tracks were created without an end—with closed eyes—like a story being told as it is written...a story taking place in a bedroom, at a laptop, with a MIDI controller. It is an ode to an undeveloped identity, leaving melodic artifacts in its wake.

This is music for headphones.

"This album emerges from the rediscovery of an accordion following the loss of a close relative-
an instrument that had been a constant companion throughout their life, weaving itself

into the fabric of childhood memory. At its core lies the recognition that both human and
accordion share the same essential act: breathing.
The accordion becomes a meditation on mortality and memory, its bellows expanding
and contracting like "lungs", its air valve releasing pure breath without melody—the raw

pneumatic essence of life itself. Every sound originates from this single instrument, largely un-
processed, preserving the intimate relationship between human touch and mechanical response.

It’s an investigation of how an instrument can hold the memory of hands that no longer play
it. The mechanical whispers, the subtle articulations of metal and leather and wood become
a language of remembrance, breathed rather than spoken."

We are premiering "Liminal Spaces" from Marco Avitabile's upcoming album "A Few Meaningful Things," out on August 31st via Colectivo Casa Amarela.

Marco Avitabile is an Italian guitarist and sound artist experimenting with textural, free-form improvisation. Having spent his youth within the local post-hardcore and metal scenes, Marco’s guitar playing is minimal and streamlined, more closely informed by visceral expressionism rather than technical proficiency. “A Few Meaningful Things”, his second solo work and first for Colectivo Casa Amarela, highlights string clang shining through live signal processing, providing a clear-eyed celebration of simplicity, flirting with multiple styles while not fully committing to any.
Whereas his previous work focused more on sound processing - used as a semi-generative mean to create improvised guitar music -, here crude performance takes center stage, renewing Avitabile’s dedication to the six strings and showing his most intimate approach to the instrument yet.

An abstract journey towards balance, between spontaneity on one side and meticulous craft on the other, much like the life situation that inspired these pieces: as Avitabile strives balancing the titular few meaningful things in his life - music making on one side, a day job and his family on the other-, the urge to create fights with the struggle to fulfill it, which is ultimately what fuels the urge itself the most.

Selected and edited by Avitabile himself from countless hours of home-recorded material, the tracks on “A Few Meaningful Things” were expertly mastered by James Plotkin, further underlying a lineage of post-genre, razor-sharp, instinctive guitar music the album aims at being a part of.
