It was such a beautiful day there on the shoreline over looking San Francisco Bay.  I feel this mix really captures the vibes we conjured up that day.

A melancholic soiree ebbs and flows through us all.....

An expert at creating harmonious illusions of sound, Germany’s Powel always finds a way to thread together natural elegance and tasteful patience in music. Having learned the piano at a young age and subsequently performed regularly with bands and even an orchestra, Powel's palette of music has a vast and thorough foundation that is influenced by the people and places he comes across during his visits.  His unique touch as a musician is heard by how he captures warm, celestial vibes filled with airy atmospheres together with delicate rhythms and tells a melancholic story fused with ghostly, low slung cuts that are rich with nuance and subtlety.  Powel steadily explores this duality in sounds not only throughout his discography but in his performances around the world which included his inaugural debut on the ROBOT HEART bus in 2016.

Welcome September – bye August! May we take it step by step now, towards autumn... with this lovable Green Smoothie by a rising star on the horizon of deep and dreamy, charming and light electronic music: White Leaf!

White Leaf, born in Poland and based in UK, has had an intriguing launch into the scene with his first release „Coquelicot“ which got immediate support by some oft he biggest names out there. With his newest production „Plein d’Amour“ he made it already on the Summer Sampler of  the mighty All Day I Dream label. And, his own label „Sag & Tre“ is successfully putting out fruit orchards and home made deep house treats.

White Leaf’s productions focus on touching harmonies and melodies. With his dj sets he is going the extra mile, striving for a reflective journey to tell each time. In his fantastic Green Smoothie he uses quotes from BBC One's drama Baptiste & HBO's acclaimed Chernobyl series to underline the story to tell. The in-demand Polish producer also features Polish radio samples as well as other little snippets, reflecting his personal journey from growing up in industrial Silesta, a part of modern Poland, to living in the busy city of Manchester, where he is developing his passion further.

Welcome on board White Leaf, thanks for a healthy start into the week! Without bad conscience we’re having another round of Green Smoothies!

Festival Flashback

Ich sitze am Ufer des Sees und lasse meinen Blick über das kristallklare Wasser wandern. Die Nacht legt sich wie ein schwarzes Tuch über das gesamte Festivalgelände. Die Luft kühlt sich ab und es wird angenehm mild. 
Über mir erstreckt sich, in seiner einzigartig funkelnden Pracht, der satte Sternenhimmel. Im Hintergrund bezirzen sanfte Melodien mein Gehör. Ich genieße den atemberaubenden Anblick und die Atmosphäre und lasse meine Gedanken treiben. Schläfrigkeit breitet sich in mir aus. Anfangs kämpfe ich dagegen an, doch dann lasse ich alle Widerstände bei Seite und schließe meine Augen. Vor meinem geistigen Auge wabern Bilder auf. Erst sind sie undeutlich und schemenhaft, werden aber immer klarer und präziser.
Ich sehe ekstatische tanzende Menschenmassen, werde ein Teil von ihnen. Ich spüre die warme Haut und rieche den Schweiß und das Parfüm. Ich höre Gespräche über den Sinn des Lebens und die Schönheit des Seins. So viele unterschiedliche Eindrücke prasseln auf mich ein, ich kann sie alle kaum erfassen.
Plötzlich wachsen mir Flügel und ich verlasse die Situation und die Menschen um mich herum. Ich bin frei wie ein Adler. Anmutig und majestätisch überfliege ich eine Bergkuppe, lasse mich fallen, nur um mich im letzten Moment, wieder in die Lüfte zu erheben. Dann werde ich ein geschupptes Wesen mit Kiemen. Schwimme am Meeresgrund gemeinsam mit meinen Artgenossen um die Wette. Ein Räuber sucht nach uns, ist auf der Jagd nach Beute. Bevor es zuschnappen kann, flüchte ich mich mit einem Hechtsprung ans rettende Ufer.
Ich öffne meine Augen. Wie lange war ich wohl weg? Ein prüfender Blick bestätigt mir, ich sitze immer noch am Wasser. Gestärkt und erholt mache ich mich auf den Weg zu meinen Freunden, ich habe lust auf tanzen und Gesellschaft. 
Das heutige Set ist wie eine wohlig warme Erinnerung an einen erfrischenden Festival Abend. Wo auch immer du das gerade hörst, lass dich von Samaha und seinen Frequenzen verzaubern. Verlass deinen Alltag und werde was oder wer auch immer du sein magst.

It’s pretty hard to describe anything from Burning Man without using phrases, sounding pathetic or cheesy. 
So maybe I shouldn’t try. Or I just don’t care about it?
Pablo asked for a little intro about my set in the tie-up night with Robot Heart when I played the Mayan Warrior art car, so here we go:
Every night, when the Mayan Warrior art car leaves its camp on it’s way to the deep playa it feels pretty sublime, like a wake up call for the rave kids with this drum beats, like a ritual where they follow it’s spiritual leader, the warrior dancer follow their flagship art car, it’s getting more and more crowded, surrounded by hundreds of bikes and of course I’m super nervous entering this elevated Dj booth, shaking from the bass or is it just me? And from one moment to another I am in the middle of lasers and fire, I am taking over the booth and after a second I’ve forgotten every fear and just start playing...

All Day I Dream events began on a Brooklyn rooftop back in 2011 and have since become an international sensation. Around the world, crowds continue to be drawn to the experience and to become a part of it's community. Spurred on by the music of Lee Burridge and his unique roster of artists, each brings his or her own emotive musical vision to the daytime party. Sounds that are all too rare in the current electronic music scene.
