Sparrow & Barbossa is a DJ and producer duo formed by the Swiss Bryan Coletta and the Uruguayan Emiliano Haberli; co-owners of Inward Records alongside Pippi Ciez and ST53.
Bryan is a pianist and comes from a musical family; his father is the legendary guitarist Francis Coletta who worked with artists like Whitney Houston, Quincy Jones, or Frank Sinatra.
Emiliano was born and raised in an Uruguay region dominated by African colonials and got widely influenced by "The Culture Of Candombe", a pure African tribal rhythm from colonialism.
Since a very young age, Bryan has been influenced by Soul, Jazz, and Funk, which he uses in his creations with his great capacity for improvisation and versatility. Emiliano moved to Europe 15 years ago, where he connected with the electronic music scene, starting to form his style in the music world, playing drums for DJ Chus & Joeski on their classic track called 'El Amor.'
Together, Bryan and Emiliano form Sparrow & Barbossa, creating a fusion between organic and electronic progressive sounds. Their age difference has a positive influence on both their releases and performance. While Bryan brings the freshness of modern sounds and melodies, Emiliano fine-tunes the rhythmic part and builds up his knowledge throughout the years. Globe-trotters, they're true lovers of ethnic and lost cultures, devoted to transmit this legacy through electronic music.
Sparrow & Barbossa are most known for their version of Mory Kante' Yeke' released on Enzo Sifredi's label Wired, that charted #1 Afro House and their remix of Fatoumata Diawara's 'Nterini' signed on MoBlack that charted #2 Afro House.

“African Train” is a fascinating music trip produced by two well known DJs in Mozambique, Mr Hands & Rude, featuring the strong and passionate voice of Rhodalia Silvestre, also from Mozambique.

You may want to start with the organic interpretation by Navaa, with its smooth harmonies and smart groove, which make you dream with open eyes. Then go to the original mix, for a plain afro groove and stunning afro sounds, yet with organic touches. The vocal will walk you through the history behind the song, the infamous destiny of many African mines’ workers, “deep down in the belly of the earth ..
conscripted to come and work on contract in the gold and mineral mines of Johannesburg”.

You can now go to the last version which completes this release, by Argento Dust. It gets definitely clubby with a strong synth and a dark and threatening atmosphere.

All Day I Dream events began on a Brooklyn rooftop back in 2011 and have since become an international sensation. Around the world, crowds continue to be drawn to the experience and to become a part of it's community. Spurred on by the music of Lee Burridge and his unique roster of artists, each brings his or her own emotive musical vision to the daytime party. Sounds that are all too rare in the current electronic music scene.

Each year the events continue to spread out across the world. From Los Angeles to London. Melbourne to Moscow, Berlin to Beirut to Brazil and back to their spiritual home base of New York City. They continue to flourish due, in part, to a core ideal. To create something truly magical. All Day I Dream also continually forges it's own unique ambience through a combination of the musical journeys taken by it's listeners as well as noteworthy venue choices.
