I play bar and restaurant gigs with musical friends around San Diego, and work on music in my home studio.  The tunes here are originals unless listed as "cover" in the title.

I teach in US higher education (in a STEM field) & am a hobbyist composer writing in a few different styles. I recommend headphones. All of my music is released under a Creative Commons Attribution/Noncommercial license.

My bandcamp page is getting out of date again, but some older albums there can be downloaded for free or for a name-your-own price donation.

I'm teaching myself to compose music starting from late 2015.  Most of it is oriented toward piano or orchestral music but I have flirted a little with dance music (latin) and jazz-flavored things.  I read books, watch youtube videos, and use Lynda.com, to add some formality, but to some extent, I don't want to be too educated prior to experimentation with sounds.  I can play guitar and hammer a bit on a keyboard, but have no formal music training other than Music Theory I at the University of Nebraska in 1975-6.  I use MuseScore to write; Reaper + EW Soundcloud Composer Online to create wav files from midi files,  and Audacity or Adobe Audition to manipulate and make a final musical copy of the composed piece.  I'm not sure I have any goals other than creating music that I like.
