this is VERY arguably the baddest ass track ever by anyone... but i'll just assert that there is none more engaging - and this drummer here on this performance - whoever he or she is -  could restart a dead heart, baby!

The greatest from Chicago’s legendary and joyous slide guitar master.  Without a drop of slickness, Hound Dog’s electrified sound was totally raw, rocking and rhythmic, and his live shows with the HouseRockers were raucous, rowdy affairs.  Armed only with a cheap Japanese guitar, and backed by just a drum set and a second guitar, he won a fanatic worldwide following that still loves his music over 40 years later.  Give Me Back My Wig and She’s Gone are now considered blues classics, and this long-playing set (over 72 minutes) also includes Don’t Blame Me, available for the first time digitally.  Hound Dog summarized his music this way: “When I die, they’ll say ‘He couldn’t play shit, but he sure made it sound good.”

This is what it might have sounded like had Jimi survived to play with Miles Davis during Miles' Tutu/Amandla period (1986). For the first time Miles could embrace synthesizers, sequencing, and drum machines. No doubt Jimi would have too. Add to that a producer who could play bass every bit as well as he could produce, Marcus Miller, and you have a recipe for some awesome music.
On this track I play guitars and sequence Miles trumpet. I am ably assisted by the immensely talented Steve Shone https://soundcloud.com/palmgrease on bass. Don't miss his bass solo at 3 minutes in, Marcus would be proud!
