Darryl is a crazy mysterious person. From what I know, he grew up alone with his mother without being much in contact with the rest of the world. His father's music record collection was the only connection with the other cultures and the world. Somehow he got a weird idea in his early childhood that this record collection contained all the music that had been ever created. He persuaded himself that the only way to make new music is to combine bits and pieces from that collection together. So he kept listening to those records and after a while, he was able to recollect their parts and combine them in his head — thus creating new music from what was already there. My role in this process is to communicate with Darryl and transfer his ideas into reality".

Parisian Abe's productions fit perfectly with https://soundcloud.com/ROITrecordings's trademark fresh and melodic aesthetic and provides yet another slammin' offering from the Istanbul based label. Abe's alternate moniker, KEMT has taken the world by storm, mixing melancholic vocals with distorted House grooves, and helms one of the go-to names for your dose of raw Lo-Fi house. 

Here, as Abe, he delivers a more gentle take on House music, with a wonderful mixture of Soul and Disco amalgamated with his signature Lo- Fi analogue percussion. The EP opens with this feature's 'Forgive Ain't Easy': straight 4/4 cut driven by sampled vocals and soulful piano melodies - one for a dusky summer evening and everything that befalls after.

PREMIERE: Abe - Forgive Ain't Easy [ROIT]

After two hugely successful outings on Distant Hawaii, Hidden Spheres cruises into Lobster Theremin waters with four sun soaked and heart meltingly infectious slices of his trademark soothing and late night house. 

EP opener ‘It Ain’t Easy’ sets the mood in a deeply meditative style. Rolling and natural drum patterns intertwine with playful melodies and soothing vocals, slowly shifting the sand across the beach as the sun slides over the horizon.

‘IshOnSax’ takes its lead from the windy city, a love story to 90s Chicago house, featuring some of the most contagious saxophone ever laid to wax courtesy of Ishmael. As the evening settles in and the office lights grow dim, the neon and intrigue of the night take hold.

The B-side kicks into gear with ‘The Feels’ an understated and raw house number that wears its heart on its chest. As a new dawn breaks the urgency of life stirs once again, sound-tracked by a never-ending rollercoaster of emotion that blankets the earth. 

Closing out the release is ‘It’s Gonna Last’ a melting pot of swirling sounds, field recordings and playful drum programming. A street performer takes their final bow as hoards of busy humans hurry to their next meeting spot.
