Beats Of No Nation's 4th release comes from 24 year old Bordeaux native Leon Revol. Already releasing on labels like Kolour, Secret Reels, Future Disco, and Monologues we are ecstatic to be adding him to the BONN family.
Growing up with parents owning synthesizers (yes Leon's parents are cooler than yours) it was pretty easy for Leon to slip into the strange world of electronic music.
Leon's 'lou bet sou' EP is possibly his best work to date (a random obviously unbiased opinion), with 4 original tracks showcasing his love for groove & finding samples any digger would be proud of.

Loz Goddard is a Manchester based musician and DJ who has been producing records for the likes of Outplay, Razor-N-Tape, Quintessentials, Secret Reels and Large. When he isn't working on his own beats, Mr. Goddard runs one of the most underrated radio shows on the internet known as Downtown Groove Sessions, where he invites artists from near and far to share some of the most promising and upcoming deep house tracks on the horizon. Personally, his shows have played an integral role in exposing me to some of the best songs the underground has to offer and I could not be more appreciative.

We were lucky enough to interview Loz about a year and a half ago, in which he compiled a mix for us and taught us how to grow fine chilies. Since that time, Loz has taken a bit of a break from producing but appears to be getting back into the groove with his upcoming release Find Me on the prestigious imprint Church. Featuring a collection of three originals and a remix from the lads of Session Victim, we are definitely glad that he has finally got the juices flowing again. This occurrence may or may not be chili related.

For his title track, which we are premiering for you guys today, Loz puts together his own unique brand of melodic, deep house in which he pairs an eclectic mix of jazz instrumentation with rolling basslines and steadfast percussion - the likes of which resembles the work of contemporaries such as Laurence Guy. Arguably the most memorable and captivating feature of the song has to be the sampled vocal that is laid out throughout its entirety. Smokey and evocative, this mysterious voice will leave you feeling hot and bothered with its faint whispers imploring you to come find it. I don't know where this person is, but this song makes me want to start looking immediately.

Once again, Fred welcome a new member to the Lazy Days family, Paso Doble. Born and raised in Algeria and now based in Montreal, he took the Afro House scene by storm with his latest album, Africa Knows Me, who features singers from all over Africa. 

Black Coffee is a big fan amongst many others. When he sent to Fred Everything his album, one track stood out, Djadjalo feat IDD Aziz, who formerly sang with Salif Keita. Fred instantly wanted to remix it. The result was 4 versions for a release on Lazy Days. Buy it now on beatport.

It’s no secret that Bari-based Italian house label Cosmic Rhythm is one of our recurring favourites. After numerous top releases over the past three years, one of the mainstays of the label, Cosmic Garden, returns with CRM14: Promise of the Sun, maintaining the high standards they have set. 

Producing under various aliases, a lot of the output of this Italian label can be traced back to Cosmic Garden, a producer with many aspects to his sound. In a similar vein to the deep cuts we’ve become accustomed to from the label, Promise of the Sun features 3 funky, jazzy house cuts – solid grooves with a more relaxed feel than some of Cosmic Rhythm’s earlier output. 

On the title track, droning, hazy pads float in and out as a funky lead builds. Chicago legend Glenn Underground uses these elements to great effect in his remix on the B Side, crafting a track that wouldn’t seem out of place on his own catalog from back in the day. His remix is the standout, but the entire record cruises by smoothly. Summer may be coming to an end, but this release still evokes the feel of a pool party, free of all worries.

Dropping more than 2 years after his debut on the imprint, Tom VR’s latest & third record on ‘all my thoughts’ is a 3 track showcase of his evolving style of thoughtful club music. The Manchester-based producer, DJ & label-head introduces the EP with title-track ‘Acheless’ - which fuses arpeggios, visceral pads & glitched-out garage percussion into a euphoric club cut.

‘It Swims Here’, begins with twinkling synth lines before emerging as a hypnotic house track crafted for the final half-hour on the dance-floor with dreamy vocals and whispers weaved throughout. The fast-paced ‘Couldn’t Find The Words’ sets the mood for post-rave reminiscing, blending analog synth bleeps, dubby chords & breathy gasps into a tightly-wound introspective minimal track.
