Ryan began exploring music early in life, drawn to anything he could make loud noises with, but once he picked up the trumpet at age 12 the seed of funk was firmly planted. It took a few more years, but he eventually found himself in front of two turntables and no microphone, because he can’t sing worth a damn. By 2001, he was playing parties all over Vancouver from hole-in-the-wall restaurants with crazy greek owners, laser tag arenas filled with mayhem, halls you'd never want to get married in, and onto stadiums and event centers playing alongside some of the most inspiring djs and producers in the game. All the while he was discovering and honing his passion for bass music with soul.

Enter present day, and DJ Ryan Ross has returned with buckets of delicious sounds to be poured into your ears and rubbed all over yourself. His style incorporates a broad mix of glitch, bass, funk, and dub containing just the right amount of filth, and adding a smattering of turntablism and the occasional live trumpet jam throughout. Rest assured he will find your inner smiling, snarling, hip wagging boogie monster and show that gorgeous beast right to the middle of the dance floor.

Allotrope... What is an Allotrope? It's the basic components of all living matter. It can make up pencil lead, or even a diamond but in the end, they're all an allotrope of carbon. Allotrope has plenty of different musical influences, but in the end, it's all music.

Consistency? What is consistency? Don't ask us ... we don't know. You will never hear two tunes that sound too much alike, sorry for all of you One Direction fans who were looking for that, but you're on the wrong page.

Taabu, born Spencer Heaslip, is a powerhouse, whose diverse skills make this producer, songwriter, engineer and drummer, a diverse asset to all styles and genres of music. In Taabu’s hometown of Dundas, Ontario, Avalon Music Academy marks the early phase of his career where he underwent drum lessons from the age of 5 through 12.

His adolescent years consisted of performing, recording, producing, drum doubling in a Canadian Film Festival piece at the age of 11, and receiving nominations at 14 for the 2008 Hamilton Music Awards for “Drummer of the Year” and “Metal Recording of the Year.”

Taabu’s versatile passion flourished from basement Metal recordings into Electronic/Dance, Pop, Hip Hop and Reggae influenced production at the age of 18. His fascination with the integrity, clarity and depth of all music expanded as he explored the world of sound design.

Today, Taabu is well known for his production with 2oolman, of A Tribe Called Red, on Wishy Washy (feat. Omega Mighty) featured on 2019 Polaris Prize winning album, “13th Floor,” by Haviah Mighty. His versatility landed his production on 2022 Juno nominated album, “Stock Exchange,” by Haviah Mighty, in addition to collaborations with Juno & Polaris Prize nominated Snotty Nose Rez Kids, Shad, The Sorority, Fame Holiday, Rochester, Lex Leosis, Raz, and many others. Among the experience of opening for acts like Jazz Cartier, Shawn Hook, Down With Webster and playing alongside Isam B of Outlandish, Taabu is surely leaving his artistic and sonic fingerprint on the music industry.

Tdesu, full-time music producer and DJ based in Toronto on Up Records' artist roster, has gained international attention for his remixes of timeless classics and current-day hits blending ear-catching melodies with dance genres from around the world. At over 1 million streams, his tracks have been featured on major platforms such as Boiler Room, Apple Music, Soulection, Rinse FM, On The Radar, & Aimé Leon Dore. Always reading the room—from high-octane dance floors to late-night lounges to daytime functions—his sets are a combination of intentional preparation and purposeful improvisation, shifting through elements of club, R&B, hip hop, jazz, soul, the Neptunes sound and in-the-pocket grooves to curate the best vibe at every moment. Across 9 years of djing and 12 years of music production, he has toured numerous cities including Los Angeles, New York, and Montreal. In 2024, he completed his 3rd Canadian tour and a Central American debut in Mexico City and Costa Rica.
