New mix from our “Retrospective” series is a tribute to Eduard Artemyev, who is celebrating his 80th birthday today (Born 30 November 1937 in Novosibirsk). He is a worldwide-known Soviet and Russian composer and electronic musician who scored over 200  films and theatrical plays including the famous works by Andrei Tarkovsky, Andrei Konchalovsky, Pavel Chukhray, Nikita Mikhalkov and many others.
Of all the Soviet composers, it's Eduard Artemyev who most in uenced the development of local electronic music. He was deeply involved into education, conducting his workshops and popularizing sonic experiments and sonic studies. Artemyev was one of the  rst operators of the cult synthesizer ANS, using the machine to record his soundtrack for Tarkovsky's “Solaris”. His other electronic works – for example, the soundtracks for “Stalker” or “Sibiriade” – today are considered the standards of the genre and are still being released on the various types of media.
Our mixtape is not only a retrospective of Eduard Artemyev's vast musical heritage, but also an excursion into the realms of his discography which still remain unknown to the wide audience. Thus, in addition to his key pieces from of cial releases, this mixtape also includes a lot of unreleased compositions as we handled almost the entire archive of his works cutting out sound tracks directly from rare  lms and documentaries.

Новый микс из серии «Ретроспектива» посвящен 80-летнему юбилею Эдуарда Николаевича Артемьева — советского и российского композитора и электронного музыканта, широкой публике известного прежде всего в качестве автора музыки к более чем двумстам фильмам и театральным постановкам — включая известнейшие киноленты Андрея Тарковского, Андрея Кончаловского, Павла Чухрая, Никиты Михалкова и многих других режиссеров.
Из всех советских композиторов именно Эдуард Николаевич больше всего повлиял на развитие отечественной электронной музыки. Он преподавал, проводил мастер-классы и занимался популяризацией экспериментов в области звука, работал с новыми устройствами — например, стал одним из первых операторов культового синтезатора АНС, записав с его помощью саундтрек к «Солярису» Тарковского. Его другие электронные работы — например, саундтреки к «Сталкеру» или «Сибириаде», сегодня считаются эталонами жанра и до сих пор выпускаются на всевозможных носителях по всему миру.
Наш микс — это не только ретроспектива обширного музыкального наследия Эдуарда Николаевича, но и экскурс в неизвестные широкой публике территории его дискографии. Так, кроме ключевых композиций с официальных релизов, в микс вошло множество неизданного материала — мы переработали практически весь архив кинохроники, «вырезая» звуковые дорожки напрямую из документальных и художественных фильмов.

Ahead of the release of their Tough Love debut in October, Glenn Donaldson's prolific Reds, Pinks and Purples project have released the second track from the record, the poignantly titled 'Your Parents Were Wrong About You'. Lyrically, it's a perfect riposte to the challenges of a n unrelenting year, captured best in the line, "take good care of your friends, they won't always be there". As you read this, Donaldson's city of San Francisco is coated in a thick layer of smoke from nearby wildfires, and these words feel as appropriate as ever.

Reflecting on the track, Donaldson provides a little insight into its inspiration, a moving portrait of a dark situation. 
 
"I once had a girlfriend whose mother took me out to dinner basically to warn me that her daughter was a bad person. The tragedy of that has stuck with me all these years. This song is dedicated to anyone with toxic or undermining parents. They were wrong about you."

2019年にANADOLはドイツのハンブルグを拠点とするPingipungレーベルからテープ音源のアルバムUzun Havalar (2019)をはじめさまざまな作品をリリース。サイケデリックでシンセフォークなサウンドは新しいコレクションに相応しい内容になっています。

このイースタン風のwarm & groovyなセットは2人が最近追求し始めたもので、見逃すことのできないクラシックなものばかり。

This contribution is a back to back of Berlin-based composer and DJ @altinkasetcilik Gözen Atila aka ANADOL and DJ Tayfun Aras @tayfundeform , who is also the owner of Istanbul based vinyl shop "Deform Müzik".


2019 ANADOL became part of Hamburg-based Pingipung-label family and after a prior tape-release released her album Uzun Havalar (2019) as a vinyl. It is a psychedelic synth folk pearl that you should have already in your collection.

This warm and groovy eastern flavored set is a compilation of what both artists hear and research recently, with a few classics they wouldn’t want to miss.

Hoy se cumplen 40 años del primer viaje espacial de Arnaldo Tamayo Méndez, el primer cosmonauta cubano, y primer latinoamericano y afro descendiente en el espacio. Arnaldo despegó en la nave Soyouz 38 el 18 de Setiembre de 1980, a las 19:11 UTC, acompañado del cosmonauta Yuri Romanenko, como parte del programa Intercosmos.

M.A.S.A.: Latinoamérica se enfrenta al Kosmos 1955 - 1980

Quería aprovechar la ocasión para publicar este mixtape que llevo bastante tiempo recopilando y armando, que retrata -musicalmente-, la manera cómo latinoamérica interpretó la carrera espacial entre E.E.U.U. y la Unión Soviética, en toda su gloria de efectos especiales rudimentarios y diseño sonoro primitivo. Los motivos se vuelcan hacia la novedad y la diversión, escepticismo y fantasía, pero dejan entrever ocasionalmente una preocupación sobre problemas terrenales y la manera en que los humanos nos tratamos unos a los otros, usando los cuerpos celestes y a los forasteros intergalácticos como metáfora. 

17 artistas de Cuba, Puerto Rico, México, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Colombia y Perú.

Si bien latinoamérica tardaría décadas para integrarse a la exploración espacial, muchos pueblos originarios habían desarrollado una cosmovisión propia y llevado a cabo sorprendentes estudios científicos de los astros desde siglos atrás. Detonado por el éxito masivo de "Los Marcianos" de la Orquesta América en el '55, no escasearon las canciones para mantener viva la imaginación hasta que aquella noche de 1980 Arnaldó logró, por fin, flotar en el éter.

Aderezando los interludios incluí recortes de algunas de las primeras películas de ciencia ficción latinoamericana: Los platillos voladores (1956), Viaje a la luna (1958), La nave de los monstruos (1960), El Santo enmascarado de plata vs. la invasión de los marcianos (1967) y Che OVNI (1968).
