Hands

Little Fools is made up of singer / lyricist, Shoshana and guitarist / songwriter, Aki. The two of them met while playing jazz together in New York City. After years of standards, and only a few months before Shoshana moved back to LA, they began working on their own project of original songs. Shoshana’s narrative voice, while influenced by her love of the Great American songbook, and reflected in her classic lyrical storytelling is also wholly original. When paired Aki’s sound, the smoky contralto of her voice echoes over the melodic playing of the guitar. The rest of the band -- shifting from brushes and a train-whistle backbeat to a complete rock sensibility -- adds an important contemporary energy to their nostalgic sound. When working together, the duo begins their writing process with the intimacy of a singer-song writer duo while ultimately surrounding their sound with the richness of a blues rock band.
