MARTIN SPACE

Background:
Martin first got into the underground rave scene at 14 years of age in 1993 listening to local pirate radio stations Fantasy FM & S.C.R and also tape packs from events such as Fantasia, Helter Skelter, Dreamscape & The Pleasuredome. It wasn't until 1997 when he finally got the chance to witness the scene in it's full glory when Martin and a few friends visited both The Pleasuredome and Vibealite. 
From that moment Martin became hooked over the following years he visited places such as Uprising, Dizstruxshon, Compulsion & Future Dance gaining a valuable insight into how parties operated and how DJ's worked the crowds. He practiced and honed his skills on the turntables over the years and his main influences were Sy, Brisk, Scott Brown, Jimmy J, Luna C, Paul - O, Sharkey, Kevin Energy & Devastate

In 2001 Martin ventured into promoting and along with a few friends started a night called Bedlam in Sheffield. The night ran successfully for well over a year when both partied decided to turn there hand at production side of things.

In 2005 Martin and two other up & coming talents, Firthy & D-Jam. Started to do regular internet radio slot's on a Saturday nights, on www.huradio.co.uk. It got ever popular in the Yorkshire & Humber region. It got that popular at one point, their was other artist's asking to play on the show. This is when Northern Gathering was born!! A 12 hour radio show with over 20 DJ's & MC's performing on the internet radio for free, in a private location, involving BBQ's & 'special times!!' 

The mighty Uprising asked Martin and the team of Northern Gathering/Hardcore United to host there room 2 for the Xmas Party in December 2005 & also the 11th Birthday, Feb 2006 @ The Adelphi, Sheffield. Streaming LIVE across the globe with people listening in Spain, Sweden & the USA. The radio stream ran successfully well at both events. Northern Gathering then, hosted at a few more promotion events after this. At The Baths Hall Scunthorpe with Hardr:ve, Looney Tunez in Skegness & again, Uprising @ there new home, The Plug, Sheffield in June 2007. At the end of 2007, other commitments started to play there part and the radio show was no more.

The DJ:
Martins first real outing behind the turntables came in 2001 when he was booked to play at a local night called Defiance. After years of practice he finally got a chance to prove he could entertain the crowd he had been a part of. The night was a huge success and more bookings followed
Martin plays a wide range of hardcore featuring tracks from labels such as Higher Order, Bedlam, Uprising, Bonkers, Nu Energy, Evolution & Quosh. He is well known for tearing dance floors apart and can adjust his sets for either a warm up slot or a peak time performance.
Martin has recently been asked to play on a legal FM radio station called 'Redroad FM 87.7' for the Jade show. Based in Sheffield and charity funded, the station has hosted a lot of promising young talent from the region. At least he can say he has done something a lot of people would wish to do as a DJ, in their lifetime.

Martin is now getting more & more bookings with his 'unique' trance, tech trance, hard trance, hardstyle, progressive, electro, funky & disco house set's. Bringing a music fusion together for all the music lover's out there. Ever pressing forward with different style's of music fused together with simplicity and drive.
