The first time in months at a club without a mask, drops of sweat from the ceiling, up close encounters, dance ecstasy! It was a dream - a refuge in times when the world is upside down. A small moment to recharge batteries, to forget what hurts, to bathe in joy. Thank you, Meier, for this Safer Space. Especially after the experiences of the last months I appreciate you more than any other place! Thank you for this terrific line-up! Thank you for the sunrise slot in the theater. Thank you @ramschakl for this spectacular sanctuary miracle that you created full of love and skill. And of course, thank you to all the laughter, screams of joy, all the love on the dance floor! It was one for the books ❤️

I remember how precious Mira's birthdays have always been to me. There she was, this radiant queen, celebrating life and music with an exquisite line-up every year. She was one of my first role models and I secretly wished I could follow in her footsteps one day too. Never would I have dreamed of one day even being able to play at her birthday party! THANK YOU MIRA for this invitation! Thank you for holding my hand before the gig - God I was nervous! And THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for this great booking. It was an additional feast for me to see so many strong, talented and awesome women on the line-up. I haven't danced so much in ages ;)
THANK YOU also to ALL the people who were there and danced with an incredible passion. My intention is to give unconditional love for the dance floor - sometimes a rare commodity in these times. I am infinitely grateful for this opportunity to pour my heart, my worries, my anger but also my hope into sound and share it with you. This is probably the most personal set I have ever shared. I have processed a lot in the music. I guess the music speaks for me here, says what I usually can't find words for. Shares what sometimes feels so heavy and indivisible, and in doing so, lightens my load. But this is not about me, but about US. I hope I was able to plant some seeds that will give us strength for the challenges that lie ahead. I love you! Thank you for allowing me to share my vulnerability. From this I draw strength.

ALMA LINDA FUSION 2022 PHOENIX

Woman Life Freedom! This is the guiding chant of probably the most important feminist movement of the 21st century. As the brutality on the streets of Iran increases, the people there never tire of putting their lives on the line every day. This movement affects ALL of us, because none of us is free until we are all free. Here I publish my small humble musical contribution, a set I recorded with my good friend @danilotimm at @kater_blau at the @talderverwirrung party. I hope that the music can provide a home, give light in these dark hours and last but not least make hearts laugh. Because to stand up against the structural and systematic injustices of this world, we need hope and joy not least.

Seven Eleven in Kater Heaven - Wow, what a gift you are. I’m still mindblown by what happend at Kater Blau last easter-weekend! 
As many of you already know, my sound changes and grows with me, while it remains eclectic, political and sassy - I honestly feel it goes very well together <3 Here I dived into faster realms and it was bombastic how you guys went down to it. My sound is one thing above all: a sincere journey to places that mean home to me, so I can share that home. Not to forget, but to remember, to let go, to be myself for a moment. Alma Linda - Seven Eleven in Kater Heaven Part I

What a journey this set was for me. A journey to love. A tender love, a lustful one. One full of passion and tenderness. One that is addressed to me. One that is a home for all of us. A love that lasts a lifetime, like that of my two wonderful friends as they celebrated their 25 year non-wedding anniversary on the day of the recording. A love that knows no barriers or boundaries, but blows them away effortlessly. A love that defies the storms, is strong and unshakably soft at its core. A love that can forgive, itself and others. A love that grows steadily because it is curious and compassionate. 
And above all, a love that is unconditional. 
May this infinite love rain down on you whenever you need it. May you live in the knowing that this love is within you. May it accompany you, guide you, inspire you. 
You are full of wonder and capable of anything - just the way you are. I forget that very often, as perhaps we all do. Thank you to all those who tirelessly remind me. May we be shelter to each other.

ALMA LINDAS LOVE IN-FUSION 2023

So many wishes, feelings and intentions gently at the same time full of passion entwine around this set. Especially on Polish soil, where politicians have decided to prosecute same-sex love, we wanted to make a statement. A statement for free love, a statement for freedom, a statement for togetherness. And so we share with you this hybrid live set, for which we wrote so many lyrics and put a lot of heart and soul into it. We want to make one thing very clear: No law in the world has the right to put love in shackles. No law in the world has the right to suggest that there is something wrong with us. No law in the world has the right to put love in shackles. No law in the world has the right to suggest to us that there is something wrong with us for who we love. Because to love is a magnificent gift to the world and lovers should be free. Everywhere! Unconditionally! 
It is probably a phenomenon of our time to feel as much despair as hope. We have taken the stage for visibility and hope and believe that we can light a fire in people's hearts to oppose the cruel injustices of this time with home and unconditional love!

Thanks to all who made this experience on the Garbicz lake stage so unique! 

Unfortunately, the recording was quite broken, so we had to re-record some passages. But we tried to keep as much of the original as possible. We are always given goosebumps moments when we hear your energy. We appreciate every comment you leave and of course we are happy if you want to share the set.

What an honor to have been invited with my art to the 10th anniversary of Mezcal Amores. It was a once in a lifetime experience to play alongside so many talented artists in a place that took my breath away with every glance.  When I play, I pray. I internalize my intention to share for the good of ALL and from the heart. Because I want to believe that at the core of our being, in our soul, we all find the beauty we need to make this world a better place. How to be brave in a world that keeps dividing instead of uniting? How to be brave to build bridges between the trenches of conflicts and wars? 
With the search for authentic answers within me, the search for an attitude and integrity, I am challenged every day, I grow every day. 
I share something of this journey, this sadness but also this hope for a tomorrow in peace with you here. May music unite what words cannot. May it allow us to forget for a moment so that we can remember with strength and face the world with the courage it needs. May we find the courage to raise our voices for the good of all. I hope I can offer encouragement, shelter and comfort for a few moments. I hope the love that has flowed in it is nourishment for you. 

It was such an indescribable gift to see so many people from so many different backgrounds dancing together and embracing each other in reconciliation, despite all the contradictions of our human existence.

HOW TO BE BRAVE - Alma Linda @ FUSION 2024 EXTRAVAGANZA

What we need now - maybe more than ever - is love. Not the image of love that we often carry around in clichés, but love in its true essence, its inescapable core. We need love in a radical way that unfolds its strength precisely in its fragile vulnerability, is aware of its fallibility and is therefore committed to the process and growth. A love that places the WE and not the EGO at the center of its actions. In other words, a love that is aware of its social and political responsibility, is active and wants to shape and heal. 
Imagine a world immersed in this love, in which we use all our knowledge, our skills and our wisdom for the benefit of all and not to maximize profit. 
In this spirit and full of love, I now share this summer memory with you. It was a hot dream on an august night at the Garbicz Festival. But whoever comes to action after dreaming creates new realities. So my biggest thanks go to all those who have supported me in making this dream come true. 

Wherever you are and however you spend these next few days, be good to yourselves and to each other and don't forget the paradises we can create together when we unite instead of divide.

Pink or blue? A rainbow ride by Alma Linda @voodoohop 10 anos na cachoeira

Fusion. Sunday 4pm in the „Räuberhöhle“. It’s the hottest day measured in 70 years. This is the day, where I’ll play for the first time on the one festival, which carved my life like no other, which repeatedly bestowed life upon me in the most miraculous ways. What I wanted for that day, is to contribute my part, give back what was given to me, in gratitude: to the Fusion, to the „Räuberhöhle“. I wanted to play a political set, showering you all with freedom and love as my beloved collective „Liebe ist ein Mischgetränk“ stood by my side drained in sweat.

I am 20 minutes into my set when the news arrived. A person was found dead in his tent. Alongside with the news, the music was collectively turned off on the whole festival for 15 minutes – fifteen minutes of silence. From exhilaration to total silence. We fall quiet, we look at each other, we cry.

Everything is always happening simultaneously. Life and death, utter ecstasy and endless grief. The dance floor, to which I promised my heart and passion, is more than a floor to dance on: it’s life itself. It contains all and everything! If as an artist I had a wish, I’d wish for everybody to feel like being able to remember instead of forget – to feel that my music and the dance floor are a safe space for remembering, in care, in tenderness, in honesty. Because everything is always happening simultaneously, is always true simultaneously.

Because of this I decided to let my set begin with these 15 minutes of silence – fifteen minutes to remember, to allow for grief, to allow for pain; and, to allow for letting go. Let us be aware of one another and let us take care of one another. This we do by sharing our fears and doubts and grow with them, on them, next to them: Don’t give up! Thank you!

I remember my first time at this magical place: A bay of dreams and hopes filled with the joy and music of the @vollschoen crew - and the instant feeling of finally being home. Back then I didn’t dare to follow my passion and play music - I was to scared of failing in what meant (and still means) life to me. But life took its turns and gently forced me in to LIVING my LIFE instead of trying to fulfill the expectations of images of a worthy person in this society.
Thank you @tobidei for the tender encouragement, the endless smiles and tears of joy your music and your humble being gave me. Thank you Voll Schön Crew and Bucht for the home, love and dedication you gave not just me but so many of us over the past years.

Santiago was burning when I arrived at Nomad Festival in February. Just a few days earlier I had experienced the suffering on the streets rearing up in raw force.  So how could I, as an artist and exiled Chilean, not only exist with my worries and fears at a festival, but even make them a part of it?  By accepting, living and sharing the ambiguity of the two experiences.

I firmly believe that dance floors offer a shelter, not only to forget, but also to remember.  To allow pain.  To dance it out.  Because the times we live in challenge us to deal with the paralysing despair we are facing anywhere we look.  They challenge us to confront the fear-soaked conservatism that’s taking over our world.  They challenge us to keep fighting those who despise women, who fear same-sex love and who destroy our planet. 

Today more than ever, we need each other!  May we find the strength and love to fight the battles of our time, while always carrying peace in our hearts.

We are facing challenging times. And some of us over the world suffer them way harder then some others. Especially in countries where this corona crisis is coming hand in hand with repercussions from right wing conservative governments. There, we dedicate this set to LOVE, DIVERSITY and FREEDOM. Let us remember the strength and energy, with which we occupied the streets of this world. Even if this night seems quite too long – the voices of our freedom will illuminate the firmament.

Alma Linda is a Berlin-based DJ who originally hails from Chile. She is known for her captivating live performances and eclectic music style that draws inspiration from a wide range of genres, including techno, house, and disco. In addition to her work as a DJ, Alma Linda is also a passionate activist for intersectional feminism. She has been outspoken about the need for greater representation and inclusivity within the electronic music industry, and has used her platform to raise awareness about issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community. Her activism and artistry have earned her a loyal following among music fans around the world, and she continues to be a driving force for positive change both on and off the dance floor.

On stage shows she fuses the above with fully choreographed dances and choir performances.
