A commentary from Almine:
Music effects different areas of the body, depending on resonance and rhythm. Much of the music of our youth stimulates the root chakra. Some music influences the heart and marching music increases the activity of the throat chakra - hence it is used in wars to encourage the advance of soldiers.

The yoga of 'Aranash Suba' is designed to release the stress accumulated in between cycles of life, death and ascension, lodged in the psoas muscle. Large compositions filled with deep emotion, such as that found in operatic and symphonic music, facilitate the release of pent-up trauma in the abdomen. When something inspires a deep release of trauma, it is called 'gut-wrenching' - for which is an appropriate term - for the effects of such music.

The music usually expected during yoga sessions only effect the pineal and the pituitary glands and fail to accomplish any purpose beyond facilitating a temporary expansion and sense peace.

We unlock the unknowable - not through the mind - but through the non-cognitive knowingness of the self, in between the ripples of our senses within our eternal being.
