Morita Vargas is an argentinian producer, singer and performer of experimental- electronic music. She explores fantasy soundscapes and lyrics with no-lenguaje, working with collages of sounds creating emotional atmospheres.

She has released two albums, "8" (Hidden Harmony Recordings, Estonia) and "Mandragora" (Autogenesis, Germany).

"For this mixtape I was inspired by female, trans, non-binary Latin and South American music that I admire. Their music opens the scene for me in terms of genre because it is an eclectic selection of sounds that goes from folklore to ambient, going through the experimental, melodic, dramatic, abstract and the frenzy of the dance floor and pop feeling. A mixture of ancestral roots and the present, it is a door for the world to know who we are and what we create and produce."

heyy i finally made a very little mix again quite spontaneously yesterday. i'm not sure if it’s good, but it's mostly kind of ambient. so you should listen to the mix on headphones. : ) it's called ‚taking your time is not a crime - if you actually wanted to start hrt in a few days, but you're just a super anxious teenager and ravemaus and feel way too lost.‘ i think i did it to distract myself a bit yesterday or to somehow do something with fatigue and feelings. today i feel much more serious, so i don't know. maybe the mix is good to drive away and break the rubber band that wants to keep you where you are. or just to start the day. bla : ) enjoy <3

Crack Mix 387: Lila Tirando a Violeta

"If you had to live your life over and over again for eternity, how would you live it? What does making choices mean? The contingencies of a life unravel my senses."

Throughout the course of 10 tracks of ‘Wiederkunft Eternal LP‘, the debut album by German producer thirdworldlabour, a digitally cold climate dominates throughout while a specific kind of affectivity is captured in each track. The sound design ranges from emotionally brutal (within) and uncanny (diminished spirits) to blissfully divine (a seamless float to another dome). An emphasis of using chopped vocal samples together with choir-like ambience often creates an ethereal atmosphere which subsequently is shattered by seemingly primitive and at times overtly mechanistic drum programming. Repeatedly Cryogenic synth melodies are paired with unwavering percussion that evoke connotations of fully automated, industrial production processes (many fathers/ancestral transition). Whereas in other parts, steady vocal arpeggios prevail in a textural landscape which seems to dissolve itself into non-physicality (disintegration II).
Reflected in the works title, the album draws upon the concept of the 'Eternal Return' which has its origins in non-western philosophy. The concept relates to the notion of pre-determinism and assumes that time and space are infinite progresses in which the individual is living their life over and over again in a never ending recurrent cycle.
Wiederkunft Eternal examines said concept within the expressive potential of sound and specifically tries to investigate the relationship between hope and despair as central themes in human experience.
