Tom Findlay (Groove Armada) - Yacht Rock Meat Mix

Long-time DJ partners Roger Bong and O'Spliff (Oliver Seguin) spin Hawaiian / Hawaii records back-to-back for four hours at Blue Note Place in celebration of the Aloha Got Soul CD compilation releases, Sunset Drive & Seaside Vibes. 

The first set is a more mellow sound, in line with the Seaside Vibes CD. The second set is more uptempo, similar to the Sunset Drive CD.

The album features the godfather of 'Funk' DJ Marlboro, who runs the Funk scene in Rio with his daily radio show that broadcasts to hundreds of thousands. Other amazing artists included in this compilation are Tati Quebra Barraco, MC Vanessinha, Bonde do Tigro and XXX-rated tunes from Proibido.

I like to call these songs Supermarket Sweepers or Elevator Jumpoffs - since those are the 2 places you're most likely to hear this kind of crap.  This is the type of music that makes you roll up your windows at the traffic light, and could instantly destroy that street cred you've been working so hard to attain.
