about 6.30 am the killing fields took the lives of so many fellow souls

4 weeks to the hour i started to see live feeds to my phone videos from friends dying asking for help
one guy was holding his girlfriend's head which was ripped in two from an ak 47 round crying and begging for help he also did not make it.
tall kats was in my house only 24 hours before !!!!
i was on my way to the event that morning but was stopped in olga when i phoned my friend raif (tabbona food truck) and heard the horror live
i was in contact till he was rescued .
i lost 43 friends! ive been producing and playing at underground events for 30 years i know this family .
working on stage for moksha i just cant imagine how many of the dead youth i partied with and handed water to from the front of the stage as our parties reached fire pich 
my soul and blood are in this music and its ability to cross barriers and heal hearts.
i and we will not be defeated and lie in self pity and fear , we are all in trumma  collectively , we must release collectively , its the way of the tribe
i honor the dead and dance in their memory till the end of this life
i dance and pray for our youth that are being used as cannon fodder buy our government.
i hold our light and keep the dance floor ready for when they return for dance they will need.
why do we fight for the politicians? fight what is ours and trance is our national culture.
i promise to all who are defending us i will keep the fire of dance until you join us and also honor your dead friends
trust in trance we the biggest brightest  tribe in the world
we are the future of unity love

Screaming as loud as possible deep inside my heart and my whole body is shivering, days with open unanswered questions.

Delusional, but parallel worlds exist, and we live in them, it’s a fact.

My son, Yahel is fighting in Gaza in the midst of hell, one and a half hour drive from him I am playing an ambient DJ set with a crying heart and a wounded soul for my friends, I also mixed some military band songs with an unequivocal message....this music cannot be stopped.

For you Yahel, my MINIME, my beloved son, I write and cry with longing and love for your return to me. As you wrote before you entered Gaza, you keep your candle lit so that we can try and live here.

You wrote that now we are fighting for our home, for our right to exist in this world.

Yahel, come back already so we can hear this set together because the music and this tune really cannot be stopped.

I named this set the voice of peace and hope that we can really live in peace because we are tired of all these wars with the children of Satan that surround us, so link to the set in the first comment....

Yahel, it's crazy that you haven't celebrated your 20th birthday yet and the situation has flipped over, now you're looking after me and I can't be by your side and look after you.
Minime, take care of yourself, I trust you, I believe in you, get rid of all evil in Gaza and come home to me for a hug and some laughs, forecast notes that soon there will be waves let's go surfing together.

Today is my late wife's birthday.  Her last birthday with us was in 2020.  So, if this track feels a bit more personal than most of the other Interbay tracks...that's because it is.

Sad, with some heartfelt but hard to say truths might not be your idea of birthday wishes, but I'm not sure how else to honor a day that will never be as happy as it had been before.  

I knew that I'd wanted to do a song specifically for today, but when I started the project, I assumed it would be a soft, piano-forward ballad.  The fact that it starts with music box and dark strings sent me on another path altogether.  You get to about 2/3rds of the way through the song, and suddenly you're in a mystery thriller and who knows what might be lurking behind every shadow.  Who can say if you're in danger or if you're just scaring yourself.

It was not my intention to bring everyone down with this track.  However, it certainly was my intention to express myself within the context of the music that I make.  And, as you know, some Interbay tracks end up being a path to more insights and expressions than others.

I think the track itself says anything else I would want to say about it, so let's post a smaller description than normal, today.  (My gift to you, I suppose. ;) )

I would appreciate you giving "Birthday Wishes" a listen.  I know it might be hard to "like" a song that is a bit darker and depressing than you'd typically find here, but if you think it was well done, give it a like for that.  Obviously, you reposting it, sharing it, adding it to a playlist, and/or commenting on it..all that or any of that would be welcome.
