In his unique and creative take on Lampé's "Closed Again", Portuguese producer Luis M pulls back on the drums a bit and pushes deeper, using a pulsing bassline, twisted effects on the synths, and masterful psychedelic FX to drive the track. We are ecstatic to be kicking off the 2022 Techgnosis Records lineup with a ferocious showing from the always-impressive Aleckat, who first made his label debut exactly 2 years ago. We celebrate this auspicious occasion with the release of 'Scritchy', a truly exceptional mini-album comprised of 5 brand new creations, with 2 of those getting a proper remix treatment from scene icons Miles From Mars and a collaborative rework from fellow Australian artists, the talented Tomchilla and Lektrk. Echofront is an album that lives in the tension between shadow and radiance, between the ruins of memory and the pulse of the present. The songs unfold as fragments - half-dreamt images of stone, glass, fire, rivers, and neon - stitched into the rhythm of melodic techno. These lyrics trace the outlines of spaces where silence gathers force: cathedrals crumbling under rain, tunnels painted with defiance, rivers carrying ancestral masks, and cities burning into light. Each track is an echo carried forward, a resonance that reveals both fragility and persistence, where every fracture or stain also hints at renewal. The music embraces this ambiguity, weaving deep beats with textures that shimmer, fracture, and reform, as if sound itself were both memory and prophecy.

At the heart of the album is the idea of the echo not as repetition, but as transformation. Echoes blur time, bending it into seams where identity slips, boundaries dissolve, and breath becomes dream. Echofront steps into those seams, letting voices fade and return in altered forms, letting rhythms erode and rebuild, letting light refract into the darkness. The music is neither nostalgic nor utopian, but rather a navigation of thresholds - of endings that carry within them the charge of beginnings, of masks that reveal by concealing, of serpents that coil both danger and desire. In this way, the album moves like a front advancing across shifting terrain: charged with energy, haunted by silence, and always carrying the possibility of becoming something new.

His signature basslines are fat & groovy, and his percussion lines are insanely tight and intricate. His productions have been consistently lighting up dancefloors around the globe!
We are very honored to have this young and incredibly talented artist on our roster.

Answering Machine EP includes 3 original track by Lewis. himself, as well as 2 very different but equally amazing remixes.

The first remix is a driving minimal banger by German minimal techno aficionado TiM TASTE. It includes his amazing signature sound and will get any dancefloor shakin'.
The second remix is by psytechno producer RNDM. hailing from France. This wonderful dark and psychedelic rendition of Lewis' 'Special Delivery' is RNDM's debut on AlpaKa, and we are absolutely stoked to have him on board.
